If I may. Roberts is currently in possession of 1 functional Galleon, and 3 Wounded ones. Yes. He could raise more ships, But yknow what else could happen?

You could leave those ships alone, fail to find him, and face a larger fleet next time. Striking the wounded Galleons is, in my estimation the better plan. This of course means you'll be unable to reopen the trade route.
Of course, the way I read it, he ran with all his non-ship forces, so perhaps you wouldn't need much to cap his wounded fleet.

Aye, take his ships out now, well you still have that great navy and they are wounded.

Mid Summer 1006

Correspondence with the good Roberts has been intermittent at best. Being a very secretive guy, he doesn't say much. He was explaining to me the more minor details of a successful blockade, things I never would have thought of before. I think I can twist what he told me to suit my own purposes better. We'll see in time I suppose...

Currently the work we have is keeping us rather busy. Certain empires have paid well for the assistance of my men in all fashion of duties. Samael, our runner, I think has it the easiest. Little cause for injury when you're out scouting, but he is running like a mad man all over the countryside. I have him running double duty with his scouting, so it'll work out in our favor in the end.

Recently we also acquired some documents of use to us as a whole. The problem, however, is that the content of which was a rather unfamiliar concept to many of these men. In time I was able to get the concept across. With understanding came the enlightenment I had hoped for...who says bandits and thieves can't be civilized?

I say, take em down now.

Roberts lost to a bunch of Trieremes, a very unlikely thing.

Choices! We either wait a turn, build another galleon or two and we attack him when he's at full strength. He'll probably be building another galleon with his money in that time. Plus, he'll be commanding his forces again. And captain Simo will have been brainwashed into helping him. It'll be a Goddamn diasaster! We'll never get him out of there unless we gain the upper hand.

Option 2, we hit right now, gamble his forces are weakened enough we can take them all now. From what the turn looks like, at least half his marines had to eject from damaged gal the leons, right? Strike while the iron is hot. Once you've got the route under control, all that money is available to guard the trade route-not going to pirates-and you can finish off the pirates once and for all.

Dude, let's roll with it. It was a miracle your little fleet managed to do so much damage, you really wanna gamble we'll that lucky a second time? Let's not waste miracles!

Final option is with you Sheb. If your utterly convinced you need an extra turn to try and outbuild him, go ahead. I'll even loan you another $2000, if you really need it. But, you can understand how wary I am of having two turns worth of my income floating in the air.

I mean, what if Sheb wakes up tomorrow and thinks "But what has Dwarmin done for me lately?"

jk, I know your good for it :P

Which is why we need to rescue him now, before he turns to their side.

You ever think he may be happier on the high seas without an empire telling him what to do?

With all due respect, he was a Cadre Horseman. One of the best. What kind of man raised on the Cauldron Steppe's would prefer a life of crime? And hell, the Cadre is a communist union!

And who would prefer living hidden with pirates, rather than enjoying a fat paycheck?

Theres no love lost between Simo and Roberts, as evidenced by battle fluff. Im sure Simo will not join the Pirates.
