Well me, and the southern kingdoms could attack them first as a distraction then you guys hit them from the sides as we draw there attention.

My only complaint is how any OE takings I get will be so far removed from the rest of my Empire. If I get a slightly larger share I'd be placated though :D

Sounds like a plan. I don't recommend it however...

That...

Is a surprisingly good idea.

They don't have any sea provinces, so I bet their navel tech is lower then the average of the rest and they don't really have a way to strike across the seas. If the lower provinces attack them and the worst happens, we are totally out classed, we won't lose anything but a couple of units. The kingdoms on the main land can pretend they had nothing to do with it and the navaly helpless decadent empire would most likely give up attacking the southern areas as a bad job.

What would you do Taricus?

Well, this is a gaint game-breaking empire whos territories are super developed and gives the income of what an entire normal mid-game empire would give in a turn.

So yeah, unless your in alliance (I really should stop saying that or it will most likely happen.) then people aren't going to share.

I expect soon after it is conquered that the Empires controling whats left of it will start infighting for control of the whole thing. Because its just that good.

That is exactly my point. That is why we should start planning now to cut down on infighting.

At any rate they must have higher tech to have just good lands, when we take over without such high tech probably the investment will be destroyed.

If we raise our tech to the point where we can handle there provinces, then they will not be as comparatively good.

Just because they have no naval experience anymore doesn't mean they can't fly...

If you take a territory which has a higher infrastructure level than you, the territory will not decay to match your level.  You just won't be able to improve it in that way until you're up to tech.

For example (and this isn't a big spoiler), Upper Brent has a basic revenue of higher than £250/turn, which means it has the Infrastructure I technology.  Even if the McBrents take Upper Brent before researching Inf I, the basic revenue will not decrease to the cap - but they won't be able to improve it further until they reach the appropriate technology level.

Same for buildings.  If you don't have the tech, you won't just raze the buildings out of spite (you can, of course - it'll give you money).  Having the buildings will probably give you a bonus to researching them, though.

Will we be able to use the buildings, even if we don't know how they work?

Hey adwarf. I have a question...

Why do the gnomes want necromancers?

... And didn't you say Gnomes didn't use magic?

Necromancery should make it easier to make the Gnomes look evil. And now they have that, my people hate them MORE!

The reason will be in the culture section of my fluff when I finish it.

I would think they would want to start on what is going to be the very long path to the steam punk stuff adwarf wants.
