Final offer: You pay for it, I get to keep it. Fair or not?

Heh. I'll pass. I'd like one, but I can wait. Plus it would appear that 3 units can be carried across a single ocean tile by 1 trireme in a turn anyways. So..yeah, I should be fine.

Two units per trireme.

As you'll note, all 3 of Adwarfs maces were ferried across the Farland/Brent ocean tile, in 1 turn. So clearly its possible.

That's due to a vassalage agreement, and it was only involving the one sea zone too.

Would only involve 1 sea zone from L Toldron to W Northron. Though of course my scheme likely wont work, as I'd have to conquer the land to ferry troops.

Shouldnt need more than 3 or 4 phantom soldiers to conquer the continent, Then give you Cloud if you haven't gotten there already.

Well I was considering capturing it after Toldron. And then we'll find out!

It was a stretch (and frankly a spot of GM oversight as well), but it's possible.  You park your trireme in the ocean square to play ferryman, and then you just use the normal unit move (1 move to cross into the ocean and board the ship, 1 move to disembark onto land).  Strictly speaking only 2 units at a time would be able to do it at once (minimizing losses if someone attacked the ships mid-movement), but it could work.  It's an allowable exploit, we'll say.

And I just realised why that could be a bad idea.  On the other hand, let this be a lesson to people to invest in navies to stop that very strategy.

Simple enough. Give penalties for disembarking against an established enemy in small numbers. No ones actually fought a war off boats yet. Forces a large navy to move your initial army.
