Alright, but I should warn you - only amphibious units such as mariners can engage in ship-to-ship combat (plus ships and fliers).  Ordinary troops aren't trained to fight aboard ship and generally fail pretty spectacularly.

Uh, okay. I'll change my turn then.

Is it also the case for archer and other ranged units?

Hm.  Right now, yes, but I could change it.

Alright, what the hell.  Ranged units are go for ship-to-ship combat.

Edited the OP of the main thread to reflect this:

Quote from: Combat
6.  During naval (ship-to-ship) combat, infantry and cavalry units may not normally take part in the combat and are confined to being passengers due to the special requirements of fighting at sea.  Amphibious units, ranged units, naval units, casters and flying units may all fight normally during these combats.

Neat. :) I'll just send Archers then. It's a bit weak, but it SHOULD be enough for a couple pirates. I'm jsut hoping I want meet them all at the same time.

Completed Heroes coding, as much as needs to be done.  Nothing fancy like Items is in yet, but everything stated in the OP should now be in effect.  Should be about ready to work on the turn proper now.

The Klackon officer, Diabolic Fork I believe, has been to work teaching recruits advanced infantry tactics.

Arr, that made me chuckle also.

Anyway, I have all the turns short of Phantom, Cript and Hubris' done.  We're out of time though, so I'm off to take care of things for my party and I'll be back on Monday.  Have fun, y'alls!

I sense hilarity the minute the empire has two players with different religions.

Well, that's why I'm planning A) to have Dwarmin join the fun or B) invent some kind of official religion. :D

I'm also going to have my own religon.

And I already have a flag.

I also want to Vassal Dwarmin. I need one, really, and I can send units to protect him easily. It'd end better If I vassel him.

Edit: And damn I sound like a snobb-ish ten year old in this.

Well, whether he agrees to become your vassal is a question of your diplomatic skills, and I seriously don't think you got these. Actually, even I would not be Emperor today if it wasn't for you. Adwarf became my vassals because he thought the whole western dominion was out to get him, and Taricus and Cript only joined because they wanted to leave the western dominion.
