And I am making the lore of an entire race. So I guess I have the most backstory as of yet. (Not bragging or anything.)

I really wish my internet didn't crash. I had a lot of fluff there.

I guess your right on that one, although my orginal fluff post had about the same amount of text.

Edit: Added yet more fluff and edited the Culture part to be more discriptive.

Edit2: May as well give fluff on Arcane:
Arcane is the most scared kind of magic, discoveried in the year 1000 B.C.

Spoiler:  Arcane (click to show/hide)

One says that he who finds all the orignal texts would gain the abilities of the Powerful being named Acias. But surely they are childrens tales...

Right?  ;)

That brings up the question of why. Why would the most powerful mage of all time... So many things...

1: Not cast the spell of mastery.
2: Not bring his race more favor, even simply by association.
3: Die.

For starters.

1. I guess he wasn't a power hog like the other wizard. Why would he create texts about his power if no one could use them?

2. Well, he was awfully shunned. But this guy was most likely a true neutral, so he wasn't after revenge either.

3. He said their were conquences to take in learning Arcane. I forgot to say that he in fact died very young. Around his mid-40's, and while in the hight of his prime. Its a strange, but thats one of the things clouded in mystery, waiting to be revealed.

I personally do not think of him as a Mary Sue. Hes more of a plot device that created a potential MacGuffin.

What makes you think he is a Sue then?

Such an ability at a young age. Preferably you could have the magic researched by a prominent university, as that seems more plausible given the lack of a printing press.

I think both plot devices and MacGuffins are deep in the 'not our area.'

Think of it this way, Something of such magnitude is quite world changing. Obviously only Ituem can add it to the game.

You have put him in the point where he ether has to say point blank that you are wrong and Mr Sue was not as powerful as you say. Or he has to change his game to incorporate it in. Nether is a really attractive option. Lucky for us Iteum is not a wishy washy GM. He is going to shoot you down quickly and that just makes your part of the lore ridiculous.

You need to work with the world you are given. This is Ituem's story telling we can just fill in some of the colors.

Well, I was listening to a pretty epic song, and I liked the idea of it in the first place.

Also, theres quite a lot of things going agaiist his Sue-ness.

For example, he was True-Neutral, and didn't give a fuck about the rest of the world. He only wrote the texts so that his life abilities would not go to waste. He was also shunned as a child. Even when he was the most powerful being, he was still somewhat hated, due to his heritage.

@Criptfeind: Obviously, the true potentials of Acrane will most likely never be reached in game, and the power granted will in all honesty be downgraded in someway. Then again, the texts could be truely lost and be completely unable to retrive.
