In my book, this is as good as an open declartion of war. You have told everyone that you, the most powerful power player in the game, will nto trade with anyone that trades with me. This is stupid, and shows that you cannot really see a situation for what it is. Taricus is the agressor here, not me. He constantly threatens me while I have tried to end the arguments. He even went back on an open invation to end the hostilites that I had made by threatening me once more. The problem is not with me, it is with Taricus. His attitude has been nothing but one of a backstabbing warmonger! He is the one agressing and making threats. He even openly said that he aims for a total conquest victory. I do not think he plans on letting you live either. I, on the other hand, have made no agresstion with provoction from Taricus. I do not plan on any invastions or attacks, EVER. I have said that I want an Industrial path.

I make myself look weak if I just take a threat to kill me lightly. I respond to his threats.

Welp, I just found that post from Iituem I was looking for a ways back.

Seems there's no way I can still trade with you and deny you more than four goods JohnFalcon. Looks like trade is off for now, at least until Sheb calls back his declaration.

I don't see how you declaring war on someone you have no way to hurt is a smart idea. Especially when he can REALLY hurt you.
