No, really. Creepypastas are short badly writtten stories which some people on image boards try to pass as urban legends.
I haven't used any of these. Only real stories!

Oh, come on, Cupcakes is creepypasta as hell. I can think of a few stories that my brother's told me about that are, but I can't remember their names.

Cupcakes is a short humor story. Because it's really funny! :D

Guys, this is the kind of thing that got the main pony threads banned.

Please no discussing of the cupcakes.

Fine, Vadiku, I fixed it. I didn't even play your mod, so I know very little about it, but I've read a part of a manual for some much earlier version and it scared me away.

I also think this isn't a good place to discuss cupcakes.

I think something like this should be visible on the last page of this thread:

If anyone wants a pony mod, this version is playable, but outdated. It was made for the 31.25 (2010, pre-2012) version of Dwarf Fortress. Newer pony mods have a Cutie Mark (caste) system (with big learning rates bonuses), interactions and syndromes among other things.

A spiritual successor to this mod (albeit still buggy at the time of writing this) is here: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=117374.0

There is also a Fallout Equestria mod. It is quite awesome and stable, but it's maintainer quit. http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=118893.0

Finally there is a mod by Vadiku's, which is the darkest of pony mods. http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=121116.0

Take your pick.

Please no discussing of the cupcakes.

That fic must have been written by elves. Elves butcher their own kind, Urist! Their own kind!

In all seriousness, I'm confused as to how Cupcakes is a taboo to Dwarf Fortress players. I mean, we throw children into magma, build danger rooms, have seriously warped sense of the word "daycare," butcher kittens within days of their birth, and once plotted to farm mermaids in a way so heinous that The Toady One intervened and nerfed the mermaids' value modifier and made farming their bones impossible anyways.

Also, the babies-run-over-by-their-own-parents-in-a-minecart thread. That's a thing.

Suffice to say, I shall forever associate all dyers with Bomrek Romekas, The Dyer, who slew four dwarves (and wounded a speardwarf) and a wardog while alive, without weapons, armor, or even clothing, before rising from the dead to rip three dwarves' limbs off. Wasn't even combat with the ghost, just "<ghost> batters <dwarf>" and I look and there's a leg, a sock, and a pool of blood.

I see that it was closed due to people discussing porn there. Which is explicitly forbidden by forum rules.

If I have anything to say about it, I'd say just play it safe and don't bring up Pone pone creepypasta and the like. Rather not have pony threads banned in all boards, and just keep that pony thread ban in general discussion.

The particular pastry that shan't be named that also acts as the title of a terrifying tale of death and misery should...

We should be allowed to discuss it. Come, now. This is dwarf fortress. It isn't any worse than what I routinely do to NOBLES FOUL TRAITORS and SPARKLEPIRES people I disagree with.

...I'd have downloaded the mod by now were it not for the fact that I cherish the lives of these little creatures far more than I do those of mere mortals. To see them die because I made a mistake would slowly kill me on the inside. Crack the masterfully crafted glass structure that is my sanity. Let the corruption in, let it fill the lesser-traveled corridors in the darker recesses of my mind. To allow it to coax me gently down the stream of genocide upon the ship of sadism until I can no longer distinguish atrocity from hilarity, if you will.

That said, I'm going to research it further and probably download it.

I mean, it's not really that hard, is it? Anyone can wield a torch, it doesn't prove anything. Wearing flaming clothes on the other hand, or better yet, wearing nothing at all and being on fire... that is the essence of dwarfish behavior."

Some time ago, I've talked to an author on Fimfiction. He's writing a story based on MLF.

Here it is: The Transient's Detail. It's interesting.

Chapters until 20 are not related to DF, but still can be read. After that, it's a kind of a more-inventive-than-usual retelling of a fort.
By "more inventive" I mean that it's not a LP, but an actual story that is based on a fort game (or games).

The author may or may not be borrowing elements from FiMagma for the future parts of the story. I'd say that "not" is more likely, as the story is character-driven - and these characters would... well... all die horribly if that was the case. Probably. Although I believe that he could find a believeable way to make that not happen.

In any case, I'm interested in reading moar.

Does there happen to be a tileset for this where ponies (and all the other new creatures) actually look like them instead of, say, Dwarves and Elves?

I'm currently in the process of updating a version of this mod to work in the new version.  It's a different in a few ways (leaving stuff out mostly) and currently crashes during worldgen, but I hope to get it working within a couple of days.

I'll probably start a new thread when I get it working, since it's not strictly the same mod and not all that closely related to Sorcerer's mod.

How do you make it so each pony has a unique collar combination and the entire civilization is not just one collar, like in the base game every dwarf has the same skin and hair collar if they are from the same civilization...
