Congratulations. It works. Tough wings look a bit weird, and a 'wing-boner' style ones would be more visible. It took me a while to notice a horn, but nothing can be done about it, other than making the rest of the Unicorn look different, I think. They all kinda look like mares, at least I don't see any square mouths. Are they going to look different based on professions, or just civilian / military status? All in all, these look pretty.

EDIT (To not double post): Hey, I just had an idea. Ponies could have vermin-hunting, egg laying Owls as pets.

They don't work in stonesense in the current version, you need the new version with caste support, which is still under development.. I am using a pre-release build i nabbed off their IRC channel

I had totally forgotten how fun spriting is! Haven't done this since the bob and george days in early 2000

Yep, I'll release the ponies as soon as the new version of stonesense is out...
If you can't wait that long, here is the xml and spriteset that should work in the old version

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3677116/color_poni.zip

Just unzip to stonesense/creatures and replace files as needed.

Can't wait for this to be updated to the current version. I was tempted to go through and fix everything that was causing errors, but after looking at the log, there were conflicts with pretty much every new animal and animal man, and I don't want to spend that much time when I can go redownload .25 for my pony fix for now.  :P

If you pop back a few pages I have released a fork of the main mod that works with the new version. It doesn't have all the features as nido's mod, but it works :D

Yeah, I'm working on tongues, gizzards and giving pegasi wing feathers, using the body plan details from buzzards for inspiration, and satisfying the other feather needs of other creatures. Should pegasi have a shedding interaction to produce feathers? Or would that just mean I'd have to spend time implementing a love poison?
There's various body detail plan bits and pieces that I've ported over, now I'm going to sort out the entity changes, rejig the biomes permissions, and finish up the new animal ponies(and integrate techojock's various animal animals), the new hippogriffoids and the cake ponies. Goat/Deer/Gazelle trader civs are more or less ready and the dwarven references will be removed in favour of cave or goatish. I release Traditional and Simplified as soon as poss, then get the Divided Realms and Ornate stuff done.

The animal man conflicts are probably because the .31 animal variation is varying old toe and finger plans. Really, all you need to make the .34 variations compatible with mlf is add [CV_NEW_TAG:DOES_NOT_EXIST] to the animal man variations, but that's leave the place a bit lifeless since the new animal ponies aren't implemented.

Pegasai wouldn't want their feathers removed, I'm sure of it. Plucking feathers hurts, and pegasai need them to fly.

While things like Giant Slugmen and Snailmen work in DF, I'm not in favour of them in MLP Mod. What the heck is a "Giant Pony Badger Thief" anyway? If anything, there could be a civilization of big intelligent badgers, that raid pony settlements, but calling them "pony badgers" is rather overboard.

Cake ponies ?! I'd sooner see a peaceful civilisation of seaponies, that don't have acess to metal. And they should be amphibious I guess, otherwise they could send a caravan, and die of dehydration / asphyxiation at the edge of map.

Is there a limit on 3 caravans per year, or is is possible to get more with multiple neighbours?
