I saw a lot of "shattering/chipping the fat/muscle/*organ name*" attack results when testing the Dark Voice castes in arena.

I'll try making a custom body detail plan.

Hmm... that's weird. Anyway, did you edit any of the organ material templates and such?

I only added the new material template for the superchitin.

Hmm... it might be because you're using both standard and chitin material and tissue templates. Doing that makes tissues layer and enhance the defensive attributes of a certain tissue, but I might be wrong though.

Vanilla DF's giant cave spider raws don't use both of the tissue and material templates at the same time. Also, try reordering the templates into material = top, tissue = bottom instead of the order used in there right now. And finally, use a [REMOVE_MATERIAL] tag, and apply the [USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE] tag just below it, like this:

[REMOVE_MATERIAL:CHITIN]
[USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:CHITIN:TYRANID_CHITIN]

I made special body detail plans

and applied it to a DV gaunt pony

Spoiler: it looks like this now (click to show/hide)

Still seeing muscles and organs getting chipped, fractured and shattered. :/

Actually, I kinda forgot the first and most important step.

Could you post your errorlogs for further inspection?

Can any of the actual skills be modded to affect another in some way? So we can make the "Bone setting" skills of a bone doctor give exp for wresling, and vice versa?

It's empty. Meaning that breakable fat isn't an error. :/

Which also means that something went horribly right. Since I can't guess the cause of the metalfat here anymore, I'll just go and test it myself, provided I could get a copy of the raws used.

...I rewrote the creature code a bit (making it so that the body detail plans are applied to all castes at once), and there's no more metalfat. Soft tissues now tear and bruise correctly. And I have no idea why it's correct now and was wrong before. :/

And now there's another problem: it seems like there's no chitin. All attacks go straight to the skin, fat, etc (no glancing blows, either). Am I doing something wrong with the detail plans?

...oh. I just made the chitin too thin to actually matter.

Interesting, I'm starting to like those evil ponies.

I'd have to note tho that shadowbolts and wonderbolts are a group's name rather then that of a race/civ/caste. It would make more sense if such a name would end up being seen in militarily squats for example.

As for the town names I've bin an idiot, what I mean to ask can those names be culled to such an extent that there is only one name left to name the towns? But by that I mean only the first word of the town, the second can still be anything. I mean can all pony civ towns simply be named "the town of ..." and all rainbow civ town be named "the dale of ..." and so forth? This would make identification of civilizations that much easier in the selection tab at embarking. (again, not suggesting that you do, just want to know if this is possible)

I do have a suggestion for the evil ponies.

Make the Keshi the name to replace the dark royal pony, I've read the wiki description and it seems to suit them quite well. The name Diomedian could be used for the earth pony equivalent, it seems to be suiting them better. You can use nightmares in place of Pegasus. All you need then is a name for the civ itself and the unicorn equivalent and you'll have a terrifying civilization all right.

EDIT: possible idea for civ name. "Hrímfaxi" Comes from norse mythology, the name of the horse that pulled night (as in day and night.) Not exactly perfect but it's something to consider.

I have seen something that was either called a dark or black unicorn. But that just sounds to easy in my opinion, you've got some great stuff for the others that having a black equivalent just seems lackluster.

Also, Hippogriff, just mentioning that so I won't forget. Don't know if you already knew it.

I was going to mod the game and appoint Luna in her place as duchess... but apparently she died of thirst atop a wall down in the magma pump chambers during the whole mess.
Talk about irony.

Also, Hippogriff, just mentioning that so I won't forget. Don't know if you already knew it.

I would have prefered the griffon castes to be griffons, hippogriffs, and perytons, with a horned  Opinicus with hooved forlegs as a royal, but that is mostly because I liked to focus more on the bird aspects than the lion.  Preferably, the manticore and the sphinx could be sorted with the lamia ( the lioness version, perhapes with a extra grasper) given there own egyption themed civ. The Lammasu could be the royal, because, realy, nothing else would fit the part.
