Those people most likely like that when they got in. As I said earlier they most likely have severe mental health issues such as PTSD.

First off PSTS doesn't exist or i never seen it mentioned in the DSM. This is really fucked up, the army is supposed to be taking care of their soldiers better than letting them having breakdowns as this.

Technically there is a psychological exam you have to take in order to enter the military, course your mind changes in time but they are screened first for any problems.
