Honestly, if I hadn't been enamoured by the idea of doing the Lady I would completely have done a more constructive god - since my last two gods were Heroism and Murder (in the original and third game) I'm already running the risk of a rut.

I still believe the spheres should be more structured and limited. Like starting out with ONLY 10-15 spheres, each god assigned only one sphere, and each of them quite broad in their scope. As more players are added the unclaimed spheres can be claimed and the claimed spheres can be broken down into components.

For example: I may be the god of Death but a new player could come in via roleplay and wrest the sphere of Decay from me. Now I am the god of Death, except where it borders on decay.

Combat between gods can claim certain spheres away from their opponent, while actions within the world could award new spheres.

But this is not my game, so we don't have to use my rules. :)

That was the idea.

And then you people had to go along and be all destructive.
I said 'important aspects of society' for a reason.

But view it like this: The more destructive the God, the less reason people will have to turn to them, which in turn means less followers and thus less power.

So the balance is preserved not through sheer amount of Gods on the 'constructive' and 'destructive' side, but by how applicable to society their spheres are.

So who is next on the list of gods if someone does not wnat to play, or quits.

I am undecided.

Also: Update scheduled for tonight.

That was the idea.
It was? Then why didn't you tell us? I'm perfectly willing to change my god as we haven't started yet. Implement the spheres as you wanted them, its your game.

Nah. It's okay.
The game is balanced enough right now. Let's save any more changes for a potential Godhood V. (Nothing lasts forever, after all!)

Eh, I could happily change to Viator, the Merchant God if it'd suit.

Nah, don't change. You can expand to other spheres later on. Also new gods would probably require Caesar to rewrite parts of the starting post, if it's written in the same style as III's one and we don't want that do we

So, how long until 'tonight'?

My 'tonight' is in perhaps six hours.
Also: I won't need to rewrite parts of the starting post. I write it tonight. I might need to re-think it a bit, though.

I can't concentrate during the day.

We do have an abundance of 'evil' and destructive gods. I'm honestly shocked that nobody claimed the sphere of Death though.

Caesar I'm moving my god to simply take the sphere of death in general.

Death might want to adjust its wiki page and perhaps choose a characteristic animal, if so desired. It will be a while before Death's introduction gets written.

Update!

Name of God: Druw-Lrunhike
Titles: The Hand of Darkness
Description of Character: Druw-Lrunhike is the quiet of death and the stillness of the grave. Famine, pestilence, poison and rot are His tools and He reaps the souls of the dead to feed His everlasting hunger. His minions are scavengers, molds, fungus and all other life which feeds off the dead. He has a long vision, often making plans decades in advance, and He is in no hurry to see them come to fruition. Time has little meaning to Him, and He is capable of waiting centuries for the right opportunity.
Sphere: Death
Manifests as: Druw-Lrunhike appears as a human figure, hooded and cloaked. In his right hand he bears the Hourglass of Ages, in his left the Scythe of Souls.
Characteristic Animal: Buzzards
Secondary source of Power: None
Divine responsibility: None

I'll see about a wiki update.
