Concentrating and/or getting into 'writer's focus'. I'll get a good night's rest and just continue on it tomorrow. It's frustrating, though.

I know your pain.  All I can recommend, unfortunately, is the old BICHOK method ("Butt in Chair, Hands on Keyboard").  It works, but the part I have the most trouble with is closing off all the other programs.  =B

I am very guilty of succumbing to other programs. I'll admit it.
You gave me, however, a funny abbreviation. If only for that, I might psychologically trick myself. "Let's start. BICHOK!"

Clicked the link, took me to an article on the cyberpunk genre, the prompt was: A cyberpunk setting in which tattoos are the equivalent of implanted tech… and somebody has hacked your tattoo.

That is actally a pretty good base pl0t for a cyberpunk story... If I was in the setting to be the kind of person who wrote things, I would write that... But then again, I have 3 other stories I never really started on...

I always found forcing myself to not quite work. Don't try to write a masterpiece every time; just sit down and write A story, and then work it over. Usually I get into the groove a couple chapters in.
