Deepdungeons (succesion fort/community game)
« on: March 20, 2011, 01:27:26 pm »

I'm wondering if anyone is interested in playing a succession fort in Deepdungeons, a fort I created to design the ultimate dungeon for Dwarf Fortess? I decided to take a break for a while, but I got the idea to do a succession game and see what other people make of it. I will be starting off with the reclaim. If anybody is interested in being put on the schedule for succession, or for dwarfing, just ask.

There is a little bit of a storyline. The group that is constructing Deepdungeons is called the Dweller of Dungeons. They build dungeons, being colleagues with such worlds (in)famous groups as the Greyhawk Construction Company and the Disciples of Blackcloak. A few years back they abandoned Deepdungeons, which was contracted by some anonymous individual, letting it lay fallow for a while as is common for them. However, now they are ready to return.

Rules are pretty standard for such things. Each player will play for a year, then when spring comes they will send the file to the next player, etc. You don't want to make the fort unplayable for the next player, so try not to flood the fort or let the HFS lose or whatever. We're trying to make a dungeon, so we want multiple, interconnected levels/areas, lots of interesting areas, filled with great riches and the like.

I accept this challenge, good sir.

Sign me up for a turn so that I may construct a mischievous lever hell: nine levers, one of them opens the door. The other eight? Well . . .

After it's finished we can release the save for exploration in adventure mode to the public.

I like non-optimal, complicated dungeons full of architecture and shinyness.
I would like a turn on this.

I'll take a mechanic slot. Someone's got to properly prepare the traps.
