Sorta, got a lot of big projects I'm hoping to wrap up by this weekend.  Then hopefully I can tackle this one, I'm hoping it's just a VS redist or something, we'll see.

On the Wall is a Masterfully engraved carving of Urist McHardcastle and Goblins. Urist McHardcastle is surrounded by the Goblins. The Golbins are stamping on Urist McHardcastle. Urist McHardcaste is laughing at the Goblins. The carving related to the prolonged and bloody death of Urist McHardcastle in the Fall of 1659, the Winter of 1659, and the Spring of 1660. On the engraving is an image of Cheese.

It's back :P  With things finally settling down after a summer spent all over the place, I've finally found the time over the past few weeks to resume a slow but steady flow of work on Tower of Azari.  Tons of new progress, and while it's still mostly a tech-demo, it's much closer now to a playable game - with the ability to script AI (though I haven't yet) full combat/turn scripting, a nice new template system for the data-files, and plenty more.  Check the first post for a link.

Hehe, thanks.  I've been lurking ever since, I can't remember the last time I restored a browser session and didn't have Bay12 on there at least once :P  But I've been so busy and things have been so hectic I've really just not gotten anything much done beyond school and, hopefully, finding a job.  School's started back now, but it's early on, and I find it's generally easier to get things done during the school year than outside it, despite the substantially smaller amount of free time :P

Going to be busy tonight, but I'm planning to work on map generation, once I've got a couple simple updates made (mod-values for stats, bug-fixes, etc)

So yeah, finally found some more time to work on this.  Not much, made the mistake of taking both Calculus 2 and Calculus-based Physics this semester, on top of several other classes, but some.  I've  added support to script AI and map generation, as well as the stat-mod I was planning on last time around.  Still lacks any sort of magic/special abilities, map transitions, and a scriptable way to populate the map with enemies and treasure, but it's progress, of a sort.

At this point, I'm very much open to suggestions as to how to handle both transitions and population for maps - I've had a couple ideas for each (and technically, the latter is possible, it just requires some ugly hacking of the map generation code), but I'm not sure what would be easiest/most intuitive for someone other than me, working to mod the game.
