Inland salt water?
« on: March 20, 2011, 12:07:33 am »

Why am I finding salt water aquifers and salt water in general in areas that are nowhere near oceans? (For example, no ocean at all on the regional map or any adjacent regional map squares.

Yea, it must be a small number of large biomes issue. I'm seeing this a lot in pocket-sized worlds. Guess I need to adjust my worldgen parameters to reduce oceans.

It could be that it was connected to the ocean by a river (flowing to the inland sea) that then got cut off. In any case, its not that unheard of. Just look at Utah's Great Salt Lake for whick Salt Lake City was named after.
