What would command undead look like with flaming skulls?

Hilarious.

Also, do dread necros get command undead as a first level?

Huh. Makes a sort of sense.

I should be getting back to my stuff by tomorrow night, and I'll be able to start doing stuff then.

I know there's a section on hirelings, but I can't remember where.  I'll find it and get back to you.

Just keep in mind those people have families and shit and they're going to wonder what happened.  The plains outside the fort have a pretty serious necromancer problem and the town guard aren't going to let it slide if they think you're part of it.

Unskilled labor is 1 sp a day.

Don't start killing people. They make rubbish undead. Totally not worth the 25gp.

Necromancers that make undead are lame anyway.

Also the spear costs 7.5 gp, not the ten you seem to have written down.

Edit: Why oh. If you can keep your undeadding in line, I could play a cleric of Wee Jas. You don't wantonly slaughter people to make undead and I would be okay with you making undead. So a cleric who can channel positive energy who does not have issues with a necromancer, sounds good?

Edit 2: Can clerics of Wee jas channel positive energy? I need to find my book.

Edit 3: No they can not. So I would have to channel negative energy.

Going easy on the undead...? Err... yeah. At the moment the entire point of my feat selection was to get me Command Undead at CL 2 at level 1 so that I could have 2 (or more) commanded undead following me at all times. Due to spell thematics, I can currently summon undead with 3 HD. Not sure about creating undead, though.

Can I buy a hireling that's already undead? Or dead?

Longspears cost 5gp. Cold iron doubles this to 10.

I meant not wantonly slaughtering to fill your undead cap with worthless 1 HD skeletons. Really, if you planed on having anything other then a cadre of pimp skeletons... Then I really hope you know what you are doing.

Cold iron adds 50%.

First time I have ever touched D&D before, although I am not new to roleplaying. As a newbie, I would appreciate some help. However, I play Dwarf Fortress. I can handle anything.
I used this tutorial, by the way.
http://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-Dungeons-and-Dragons-Character
And this program for die rolls.

The starting gold table is at the beginning of the equipment chapter, a rogue starts with 5d4 x 10. And you might want to use Myth-Weavers for your characters sheet so it'll be easier to edit things in the future.
http://www.myth-weavers.com/

And you can't have Cleave as your feat because it requires the feat Power Attack first

And for your skill points you don't add your total ability score, just the ability modifier, the modifiers work like this:

Score | Modifier
1          -5
2-3       -4
4-5       -3
6-7       -2
8-9       -1
10-11    +0
12-13    +1
14-15    +2

err and so on and so forth, so your ability modifier would be -1 (Myth-Weavers tells you your modifier automatically once you enter your scores)
I hope I'm not discouraging you, just trying to help  :P

Putting the sheet together. Like I said, weight is confusing. I also cannot find anything about base HP.

And I am available to post any day for some amount of time, at least.

EDIT:
Starting gold roll: 15
(1+4+3+3+4)

Weight is in the SRD here You can only put a max of four points in a skill at your level.

Base HP is HD max + con mod.

in your case that would be 9.

Use Invisible castle for dice rolling in the future.

Not at all a problem. I'm glad everyone is putting up with me.

Will do. Do you want me to re-roll everything?
And it turns out I have four points in practically everything now.
AND I cannot believe I was stupid enough to miss the prerequisite on Cleave.
Also, I was confused about how much my character weighs. The PH says that weight for a half-orc is, to quote:
150lb x(2d6)lb
With a die roll of 8, my character either weighs 1,200 pounds or I'm being stupid about something.
My hitpoints, if I am doing it right, are 25 (16 CON+9 HD)
Here is a link to the almost finished sheet.
http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=285397http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=285397

EDIT:
Updated with equipment. That is a total cost of about 100 gold; I didn't feel like counting copper and silver, so I rounded to the nearest gold. I have fifty left over.

EDIT EDIT:
When filling out the weapon slots, I ran into the "total attack bonus" field. What do I put there?
