Wait I just found out that bogeymen only attack if their not apart of a civ. Change their civ status and they will talk to you and join you.

What  :o how would you... hm, DFusion and such? I don't know how you would manage that.
Though it would be pretty bad to have companions that burn up at sunset.
They might only have that attribute when part of their default civ.

it was rune smith and changing the civ number to 1 than -1.
the creatures are found under the Night_Creature race.
so I guess in DFusion I can make a the utility constantly change bogey's civ to 1 or the adventurers.
though making a bogey begone seems kinda silly when turning into a ghost would also work in warding the creatures or teleporting a tile in the ground or like using DFMODE on a embark site and make a home to warp off the Bodgymen from exploding your limbs.
