The Phantom of the Opera is no longer here, but was good while it lasted.

Now the only place he exists is...

Well that was a good use of...

...three hours? Guess we had a slow start and every technical problem imaginable.

tbh, that was still less than I thought it would take. It's usually good to give livestreams of movies one extra hour.

That was pretty fun. Felt like I was at the opera with you guys. Time well spent.

(Of course, you might want to take a flask (or few) with you in order to replicate it IRL (Spelling mistakes taken as slurring speech included).)

Hello, folks.  I am considering showing Les Miserables this weekend or next--probably this weekend unless I get serious objections.  My professional recommendation is that you watch it with me, as it will be entertaining and v. sad.

I'd be up for it too; this weekend would work fine for me, I think, as long as it isn't super late or anything.

The 2012 film.

For those who think this is a bad idea, I will happily convince you via the power of literary analysis that you are wrong and also wrong.  Yes, the singing could be better, but you are still wrong :3

(You can hold whatever opinion you like!  That's okay.  However, if you are at all open to being swayed, I have a hammock over Brooklyn to offer you)

Back in my day, French lit class had no fancy shmancy singing, and we damn liked it! *grumpy old man*

Or at least I did. Not much for public performances.

My mom and dad always had a poster up in their office of Les Miserables (along with numerous other Broadway shows; some of them they performed in as well), and I have yet to see it.

Count me in.

I'm busy all reasonable times this weekend, but you can tell by my lack of signature, avatar, and personal text that I'm not a big deal. My schedule is pretty unpredictable anyway.

Any chance of next weekend? I can't say my objections are terribly serious, however, so realistically I'll want somebody else to pile on.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

If it's this weekend I'd be happy to attend, as it's long and I'm not doing anything particularily interesting.
