Earth, Moon, the Sun and Stars
« on: March 18, 2011, 08:19:43 am »

Its year 2122, humanity has moved into space, and left Earth as one big park, where animals can live in peace, due to the high amount of space debris, its near impossible to enter earth, unless you got some massive giant shield. Around the earth is a ring of objects, so dense that it can be seen as a transperent, albeit grey line filled with small little coloured dots of light, something the primates love to watch and worships as a god. There are many lighter rings around earth, the lighter, the more luxorious, and there are also small clouds of derelict stations shot out of the rings. We have also reached the outer reaches of the solar system, and there are even some experimental space vessels flying about in the oort cloud. The farther out you get, the lighter human population gets, and the more dense the population of autonomous machines. Infact, pluto is a stronghold of human hating sentient machines, just like the earth, there are rings of space vessels around the sun, and most other planets, save Uranus, dont ask. The Kuiper belt is a law-less zone where greedy corperations fight for the valueable resources, think SS13. Jupiter is the main source of fuel, its moons housing bases for gravity loving earthlings(basically the landcrab of space).

As for the scenarios I was thinking all of us could be in one big abandoned space station for our own reasons, stranded until something finds us, 1 post per turn and a RNG to determine the success of actions. I will post pictures shortly, I feel like GM.....

Does a character who'd roughly fit into the classical description of a wandering demi-god work?

He has to have strengths and weaknesses, and not one shot everything

Also take into account that I'm immobile and I do of course expect the gm to seriously nerf my powers, if he even accepts my character. I just want to play a elder brain.

Good that you got the "this is only a semi-serious" thing, it was written between the lines.
And Spoon, i accept it, but cant you be an "Elder brain of robotics", you might well play the part with the human hating sentient robots :) I wont nerf anything, but the worst you can get is infecting the OMVFCtrl (Orbital Mass Vessel Flock Control system, kind of a anti-collision system used in theese rings of vessels)/Launching some GIANT LAZOR at a larger HRROF (Human Right and Robotic Oposing Force) station/launching a tactical(small scale) nuke at some moon/giantspacecheese, and most of theese thing would take months (IRL: days) to arrive, (not the LASER, obviously :) ) and you got all thoose robots.. that'd be cool :)

So, "New Berlin lost in space" will start shortly.

Well sure I'm willing to be the Elder Brain of Robotics, thanks.  8) My reasoning with the illithids was that they could possibly be extraterrisital aliens.

Possible answer to dice rolls: You roll all the dice, that would be time consuming however.
