The Second of Malachite
Nothing has happened or will happen for this entire month. Go away now.
OOC: Exciting update, isn't it!

I had an above ground garden built in the grounds of my castle and two young dwarves spent time socialising there over the summer and at the end of the summer they were in love. Remember those long summers of your childhood? That first kiss in the gardens while crossbows dwarves shoot goblins above your head? The rain of dead birds as the hunters get to work? Truly Spearhills is a paradise.

First of Galena
Hrmm... There appears to have been an influx in -Pig tail fiber left socks-... This can only mean one thing... Migrants!

Also, according to the colors of the +Birchen training spears+ in the stockpile, we seem to have gotten our danger room up and working.

There shall be nothing interesting for the rest of the year if my prophecy is correct, but the year after... I shall resign and head into the military... Whoever is after me should prepare for some !!Fun!!. Spring shall come soon, and then the beasts shall come as well.
OOC: Yeah, things are boring right now. I managed to get in some foreshadowing, which the next ruler should adapt to have fit whatever !!Fun!! happens.

Seems you aren't that much of a story-teller, davros, but you have the credit of starting this thing if it goes far!  ;D

Sorry if nothing interesting is happening right now, but it's just that. Nothing interesting is happening in game. I find myself wishing kobolds or goblins would show up.

No worries, I plan on storytelling it up on my turn, so all will be theatrical and well.

Jolly! Story-telling, as a means of distracting you from the actual game, and making all your dorfs engravers so you can order them to make loads of stone engravings, (which usually ends up with the dorfs making renditions of renditions of an engraving of a bracelet with a piece of cheese carved on it) is half the Fun! When you find the other.. well, you win the game!  :D
You should roleplay individual dwarfs based on their thoughts and preferences, if you don't have much to write about. Give them names that are actually pronounceable beforehand, though. Urist Mc<insert anything here> is always a good name! You can also make one of the dorfs yourself, that always makes you more dedicated to storytelling!

In every game I play I have an Iggy McNatz, he's usually a peasant, or cook, and the fun never stops.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll try that. Also, one of them is me: the bookkeeper.

Annnn update!
Davros's journal
13th of Galena
In order to make the migrants do something other than sit around sponging up booze, I have ordered a very ambitious construction project started.

Yeah. When I say ambitious, I mean ambitious.

While everyone else is upstairs, I have begun work on the bedrooms for the slackers migrants. Furthermore... Wait. I sense a presence. A presence I have not felt for over a hundred years!

KOBALDS! KILL THE THIEF! PROTECT THE HORDE FROM THE SKULKING FILTH!

Although perhaps sending the regular military against it was a bit overkill.

Yeah. But just a bit.
OOC: First: This represents three days work! Armok, hath the !!Fun!! forsaken me!
Seriously though, I'm at a bit of a limit as to what I can do here. I only manage to get in about a half an hour of playing each day, and it's only late summer. And as to the kobald, it was really the armorer standing next to it that did that. To tell you the truth, I think the upper body thing is a bug because it forgets to mention all the broken limbs and stuff. Anyway, I hope to get in a larger update tomorrow, or failing that, over the weekend.

Yeah, I think it says that about all rotting corpses. Maybe it's because it's the first thing that rots away.

You could have used that for a little rp, maybe you could have found out what his name translated to or read the battle reports.
