A .21 succession game! (community)
« on: March 17, 2011, 05:46:23 pm »

Yeah, another succession game. Anyway, we'll be embarking here:

The game has been slightly modded, but the only change was renaming some things for the sake of silliness, such as the renaming of the King to the Beardlord, and dwarven society now generally revolving around beards. We have access to all civs, and are currently skirmishing with the goblins.

TURN LIST:
1. Me.  8)
2.KCFOS
3.Naryar
4.Kona
5.ignatzami
6.Soljai
7.Knarfle
8.???
And so on.

I had an above ground garden built in the grounds of my castle and two young dwarves spent time socialising there over the summer and at the end of the summer they were in love. Remember those long summers of your childhood? That first kiss in the gardens while crossbows dwarves shoot goblins above your head? The rain of dead birds as the hunters get to work? Truly Spearhills is a paradise.

RULES:
Roleplaying and screenshots are both looked for from the overseers. That's about it really.
Oh, one more thing. During world gen, the distance between hell and cavern 3 was set to OVER 90000 or at least as close as it could get. I think it's far harder to resist now that you know how much you could win if you don't breach the central pipe.

Not too bad of a spot, if you have experience breaking through aquifers! Got a volcano though, so the obsidian method could work...

Volcano, river, untamed wilds tropical biome ? Oh, goodie. Count me in.

Time to tame some giant lions and have a generally overworked butcher's workshop.

GIANT LIONS! We need to dig in quick.

Yeah.
Anyway, now that the fortress is vaguely secure, it’s time to clear up a bit of confusion: i.e. who am I and what is this about. I am Davos, chief beardsayer of the fortress of… Bodicesteamy. Remind me to never name a fortress while drunk ever again. Anyway, We’re here, and we’ve got most of the stuff indoors. We have everything a fortress will need, from food to a volcano to flux. That’s all I can really say right now.

The third of granite.

OH CARP OVERFLOW!

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

You honestly didn't needed to open more than one murky pool to irrigate... oh well you have a river, water's not going to be the problem.

Giant lions already ? Fun.

Also you're not bringing any animals ?

I would like to, but we were already stretching it when we bought the militia captain a silver warhammer. We've got a few muskoxen that came with us and that's it.

I'll gladly take a turn, though I'd request a spot of patience as I've never played a succession game so things might get off to a rocky start.

Alright, you're in. Don't worry, this is my first succession fort too... That sounded so wrong.

(i call Vucar please)

Vucar was a bright child and cheerful child but ever since her goblin knapping she hasn't been the same, so her mother has thrown away her original identity and Vucar 2.0 came to be, she is Better Faster Stronger and more Drunk, she was at a young age captured at a young age by goblins but she escaped, but for some reason when she returned she wasn't the bright cheerful person she was before and now with her unusual thirst for destruction her mother saw fit to channel her aggression into something more productive, no one knows why she isn't as cheerful as she once was but when ever anyone mentions RATS around her she becomes quiet and usually leaves the room we assume the goblins never gave her much trouble but somewhere along the path home she must of had some traumatic experience with RATS thus her compelling to dig and dig and dig and dig and dig until she bleeds is the only thing keeping her from the complete destruction of everything and everyone around her. with all that is said i think everyone is very grateful to her mother for we all know what would happen should her digging ever stop

(still coming up with her character but i think its a good start also first time coming up with df characters so anytips would be much appreciated)
