Journal of Davros
14th of opal.
Disturbing news. In the dining room, there is a new lever.
I did not order it placed, nor did any dwarf in this fort. Worse yet is the message carved upon it:

It is obvious who is the culprit. The greenskins.

In dark obsidian towers at the summit of the Mountains of Madness, there They lie. Ruled by the evil wizard Egngun, mage of many colours, they already plot against us! However, we are dwarves. More then that, we are the dwarves of the mortal tomb! No matter how hard the enemy strikes, we shall strike back tenfold, and when that vile mage breathes his last breath, his last thoughts shall be of us and the destruction we wrought. When they arrive, they shall be challenged, for we have an army, and any day is a good day for someone else to die!
OOC: Yes, I built that lever. When the save is uploaded, do with it as you will. Next week is spring break, so I should be ready to pass it on by Friday. Also, Narnia reference! Those and the hobbit were the reasons I liked the dwarves, because after hearing lines like "Nice people if you keep your eyes on them and your hand on your wallet." At that point I decided to like them simply because we were obviously meant not to.

I had an above ground garden built in the grounds of my castle and two young dwarves spent time socialising there over the summer and at the end of the summer they were in love. Remember those long summers of your childhood? That first kiss in the gardens while crossbows dwarves shoot goblins above your head? The rain of dead birds as the hunters get to work? Truly Spearhills is a paradise.

I think you messed up that first picture...

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Journal of Davros
1st of Granite
The darkness is coming. The great destroyer has awakened. My powers of precognition have become far to powerful to use. If i act on that which I know, I might change the future as we know it. I am handing the fort over to whoever wants it. I shall retire to the life of a hauler, and that of a prophet.
Davros has created a mandate: Smoothed marble throne room, (1/1).
OOC: Yeah, not much to say.
KCFOS, it's your turn. You have not been dwarfed, as you did not say who you wanted, so I figured I would leave it up to you.

Alright, I have been summoned. I will get the save ASAP.

I however will go visit my aunt and uncle soon, so you will not get updates before Monday.

I shall claim the armorer, and I will call it Iron Beard.

Journal of "Naryar" Tradelances, Iron Beard, 2nd Granite, Outpost Bodicesteamy

So I have been chosen as overseer, and Davros is retiring... well I asked him to be our trader for now, 'cause most of the dwarves have no bartering skill at all. He didn't wanted initially, fearing his "powers of premonition" would spell doom for our trade, but I convinced him he is the only skilled trader here and should stick with it. Trader isn't very tiring as a profession anyways. A bit of change in our nobles setup:

Davros is a bit weird, notably believing he can see everything and anything against all rational thought, but he isn't a bad dwarf really. I have seen resolve in his eyes, and he will be a valuable asset I am sure.

However, he visibly has not heard of dwarven efficiency at all !

Not only the fortress is critically missing in stairways between the two main stories, the metalsmithing industry is a bit far from the main quarters, and the magma smelters are SO FAR AWAY FROM THE HEMATITE AND NATIVE GOLD it's nearly alarming how long us metalworkers must walk rather than do our work... not to mention the stick-everything-in-it stockpiles. I designate two metal-related stockpiles near the magma smelters to be dug.

I am digging a stone room for myself, I am having enough of sleeping in soil. Davros will get one as well, and hopefully all the other dwarves. Soil that can fall on us in our sleep. I like my room to be relatively solid, thank you.

Entertaining. I'd like a dwarf, and a turn.
