Do kobalds names even translate to anything? I thought it was just gibberish.

Remember those long summers of your childhood? That first kiss in the gardens while crossbows dwarves shoot goblins above your head? The rain of dead birds as the hunters get to work? Truly Spearhills is a paradise.

I thought they were dubs given by dorfs, so they could be translated.. bad call.

You could have used that for a little rp, maybe you could have found out what his name translated to or read the battle reports.

How do you see the battle report?

It's not like it was very dramatic. It's just three pages of things like "The random metalsmith hits the kobald in the upper left arm and the severed part flies off in an arc!"
The military going and killing the thing when they caught up was a mercy.

Urist McLikesAdamantine the metalsmith was going about his work, as usual. The colony was still fresh, so his PhD in Various Metals You Saw On His Preferences Report was unused. Hauling stuff around was the only way he could keep fit, and he had to keep fit for when he could work some iron!
As he went back to the stockpile to grab more XYZ, he stumbled across a Kobold.
  "Stop! Thief! Protect the horde!"
The stout dwarf felt mercilessly, and by the time the military arrived at the scene, all they could do was put the creature out of it's misery.
The squad leader approached the metalsmith warily. Pushing his hammer down, he said:
"Brother, it's allright, he's dead, the horde is safe, thanks to you! You should join the military, you have proven that your experience with hammering irons has made you strong! Drop that hammer and get an axe, it's more accurate and less messy."
Nobody cared for cleaning the mess up, so the corpse started rotting, which caused a general nuisance among the dorfs until date XYZ, when the flesh was bitten off by vermin.

Just a rushed sketch, ya'know. If I had more time right now..

Journal of Davros.
Second of Sandstone.
Well, let's start with the big news. The walls have been finished!

The other overseers can expand on it later, but I believe this will do for now. The best location to fortify after this would be the plateau on top of the mountain. I would do so myself if we were not already short on stone. In related news

Wooh! He even managed to best the Seigebeard Comander in single combat! Domas, you've got some catching up to do.
OOC: I wanted to do something from the point of view of Vucar, but considering her backstory, character profile and all, I have no clue as to how to write what would probably be an emo teenage girl. Or something like that. I find it much easier to write either: The Only Sane Man or The Asshole.

my hole point on her was to be the completely insane loner who only wants one thing, to dig, well that was my best way to convey it. but hell things always happen, i mean if she gets married or something we can come up with a story and bring her out of her emo/insane-ness but i'm always up for idea's

Journal of Davros, 19th of sandstone.
Great. Migrants. Stupid, useless booze sponges.

Wait! No! I take everything back! Please don't hurt me.

You, on the other hand...

are now a gardener.

Have fun weeding, sucker!

Ooh! The caravan! I wonder what they brought!

Blah blah blah gimmie blah.

No, we don't have a food shortage. Why do you ask?
You bore me. Liason time now.

Blah blah blah we want stuff blah. Wait a minute... I sense a disturbance in the stocks. Dear Armok, can it be?

GOBLINITE!

Meh. We'll deal.

Right next to a hammerdorf? Really?

It deserved that. Anyway, WAIT, WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE'RE AT PEACE WITH THE KOBALDS!

I dunno, just dump the body in the lake or something.

OOC:
There is no food shortage, but I like to be prepared. Sorry about taking so long, but I had a busy weekend.
Oh, and to ignatzami: Nope. Sorry. Winter just started, but I should be finished by Friday at the latest.

Yeah, I modded all the noble names. For example, the hammerer is now the beardclipper.

It's all good, this update has redeemed you in the eyes of the beard gods. I spit coffee all over my monitor when I read the fish cleaner into gardener. Well done.

Scratch that schedule, but I hope to finish by the weekend. Sorry about taking so long, but I have several tests this week. This is the first chance I've gotten to do any playing at all.
