You can make both, but i think napalm is simpler since it doesn't also require iron dust (or was it steel)

I think napalm's petrol (Americans call it gas) with some chemical agents in it that make it ignite when in contact with oxygen.

As I heard it, Napalm is best described as jellied gasoline. As such, if you get any on you, the only way it's coming off is when it burns away. This has the un/fortunate side-effect of burning away most of the affected's precious flesh, which as you know, is quite vital to continued living.

Actually, in the case of dwarves, flesh is a proven liability.

On a more serious note, napalm is simply soap and gasoline.

Back on topic: if you strip the cans to their bare aluminium, there should be a reaction between aluminium and silveroxide you can make use of.

Hooray! Now you can use those cans to clean your silver wares! They'll be sparkling new!

Odd I thought recycling services were common in pretty much all developed countries.

I guess I was wrong.

I could just get them recycled, I just wouldn't get any money for it. I'd just rather make something of them than give them away for nothing.

Thermite would indeed be nice, I'd just need to find magnesium to ignite it.
All you'd need is a sparkler(a type of firework, easily obtainable in the US 'round 4th of July). Of course, igniting the sparkler and not blowing your flesh off when the sparkler ignites the thermite would be the tricky part.

Throw it and run man, throw it and run. Actually, isn't thermite controllable enough to light and get away from without, you know, dying?

Sell it at a recycling plant or something like that, don't expect to get alot though. I saved up around 2 garbage bags full of them and got around 15 dollars.

Thermite is not an explosive.
There is no blast wave.
Just lots of sparks and embers and heat.
Also, don't look at it without shielding.

Trivia time: A box box of 20 3oz thermite charges goes for under $16. And they say the government overpays for everything!

You're right, Thermite IS controllable. So controllable it is used by the military in 'sticky grenade' form where it is placed on sensitive equipment like the controls of artillery guns, which melts and deforms them so that they become unusable.

Napalm is much, much worse.

Napalm explosions can create an atmosphere of greater than 20% carbon monoxide, and firestorms with perpetuating windstorms of up to 70 miles per hour.  Once it ignites, there isn't much you can do to put it out; because it is literally jellied gasoline, throwing water on it just spreads it around. And if it gets on your bare skin, you are done.

It's not totally unsurvivable. You'll just wish you were dead and question why this cruel universe allowed you to survive with such horrific permanant injuries if it doesn't kill you outright.

Back on the main subject (As much as I love all things flaming death) In South Australia they give us 10c for every aluminium can/ plastic bottle we recycle, it's pretty awesome and the streets look really clean.
