What to do with aluminum cans?

After a trip to Estonia I have tons of aluminum drink cans I can't return to the stores here. That means I now have a huge supply of aluminum available in small pieces, but aside of platonic solids I haven't yet invented what to do with them.

Any ideas?

A few ideas:
  • If you have public recycling places, do that.
  • Look into your waste service.
    If they burn their garbage and filter out the metal, just toss 'em.
  • Sell them on the black market.

If they are not crushed, Construct a costume suit of armor or make the sturdiest origami figures possible.

You can make both, but i think napalm is simpler since it doesn't also require iron dust (or was it steel)

Yep, iron oxide. Acts as the oxygen donor for the aluminum. Though grinding aluminum finely is possible, you'll have to be careful because in dust form it's rather flammable. Avoid sparks and use ceramic or plastic equipment. And for the love of god try to keep it from fluttering all over the place.

I could just get them recycled, I just wouldn't get any money for it. I'd just rather make something of them than give them away for nothing.

Thermite would indeed be nice, I'd just need to find magnesium to ignite it.

Maybe if you have enough time you could cruch them flat and make a overlapping aluminum platemail

I don't mean crushed like this O, but more like [], then put them all together.
