epic arc finished, took the whole day practically. but i also got a storyline mission for SoE. just need to buy 1000 veldspar and that's all. the standing boost wasnt too much, was expecting to get at least 3 points with Amarr but anyways. this puts it on par with the other 3 empires, Minmatar is the only one i have below 1 (.95 or so).

my cargo is getting full. will have to try and sell some stuff to make space for the veldspar.

total money was like 15 million or so from the whole chain, this should up my wallet above what i spent on the Rupture once i sell the loot. still dont know what to do with those chips, probably put them in the Jita hangar. aint got time to scan 1/10 sites right now.

finally found a C1, gave the ship a try in a Perimeter Ambush Point. the last wave was breaching throught my armor, to save myself from loosing more hull i had to heat the repper. i forgot that i need at least faction modules to survive there without leaking to hull.

so i guess its DED sites for now.

got almost 60 million but finding more DED sites in high sec is a complete chore. so i left the Rupture in Jita and tried to look for cheap PvP. sadly, Caldari is a very crowded place and got blapped in a gatecamp.

seeing that i had my homebase in the starting school i moved home to Rens which is quite close to lowsec. it took a bit of time to find a system with people but Amamake was well, more than enough. got a fight against a Navy Comet that blapped my ship in 2 hits without even beeing able to lock first.

cant complain, even when omega it was a chore to find a good fight since i didnt have any T2 skills or the money to spend on faction ships and modules. so finding a cheap Meta 4 - non weapon T2 is practically impossible.

seems i'll have to set up my own battle event or something. because Lowsec PvP is out of the equation here.

ok, i've organized a little inside project called the "Alpha Combat Fightclub". you can find the channel ingame, its the same name. its basically a channel to look for cheap PvP fights in high security space.

its designed for Alpha Clones so there's some hard rules like no Omega related hulls or modules. if you want to look for a fight you just broadcast the system and place, the idea is that everyone is in fleet or in duels to evade the safety checks (i think).

anyways, while waiting for the word to pass on in the official forums, im doing distribution missions for the main corporation, want to see if i can buy those connection books with LP.

I've often read the joke that lowsec is more dangerous than nullsec, because non-POS alliances are looking for a fight there.

If you're looking for a fight around hisec, maybe the Faction Warfare could be a better environment for you ?

Also, with the Alpha Update next week, we'll get access to many more skills and modules, to help us get a better fight against Omega (mainly T2 stuff) :)

faction warfare might be good for you. good income, good fights. many do some exploration on the side.

Being in fleet with someone doesn't bypass crim code.  Everyone public incursion group would be fucked if it did.

i dont like the idea of messing around my empire standings just for PvP.

i've been in FW system before and its the same thing, Navy, Pirate or T2, if there's T1 ships, they are equiped with top notch modules like T2 or Faction. i wanted to create and environment where i can fight cheap.

im gonna have to flesh out the OP further anyways because someone mentioned the next update so im gonna have to adjust stuff. and i havent also touched the Booster and Implants thing.

really? fuck, i thought being in the same fleet made you avaliable for friendly fire. not fair.

untill you do fw pve missions, *raw* empirstandings will suffer very, very little. ive don fw for years and when i left i was still positive with my hostile factions.
*effective* standing will be -10 while you are enlisted. but thats just for the time of you being enlisted.

security standings will get annihilated tho. but you can get back to highsec pve sec standing grind standing by buying and turning in a few concorde tags.

anyway, you can have dirt cheap pvp in fw, but thats more a group thing. a horde of 1.5M atrons can be devastating.
solo pvp, you usually want a t2 fit at least (untill there is a good reason why you want a meta module anyway).
that doesnt mean it has to be expensive tho. you get a nice frig for +5m and a nice  dessie for 10m.
if that sounds expensive to you now... well maybe give fw a try after all. it will become cheap very fast ;)

adjusted the OP in the official forums to set the rules of combat for the Fightclub. now i just need to wait for people to join the channel or something.

in addition to the 1v1 duels (because friendly fire seems to be illegal even in fleets). i plan to do some sort of kitchen sink fleet events with a NPSI rule.

outside of that im still doing Distribution missions, just reaching 3K LP but i need more (like 15K per book) so i need to get that 5.0 standing for the L4 agents. oh and i was checking about those C13 WHs, seems very enticing to live in one taking in account they are designed for Frigates/Destroyers, the problem i see is that most guides use a Confessor and the Wolf Rayett effect works wonders for armor hulls but shits in everything shield, since Minmatar is mostly shield related, i have a very low set of options to work with.

got over the 5K LP mark. still havent reached enough standing for L4s. but oh well.

doing some calculations in the simulator, there's 2 possible ships for C13 wormholes. one is investing like 15 million for a fully fitted Firetail with artilleries. or half of that cost in a Talwar with more or less the same fit, save for having limited capacitor life (5-6 minutes, whereas the Firetail is cap stable even without rigs or extra mods) and less alpha damage because i have to save one high for the probe launcher.

the Talwar  is basically a Cheaper, more hp missile oriented option which requires proper energy management. the Firetail costs double the money and can do the same job with a bit less armor hp and with artilleries at web range.

and thats talking even in the case of finding a shattered hole that is empty. maybe i could sell the Rupture and use that little boy instead.

Have you tried training the social skills (forget the specific names off hand) that increase standing?

Anyway, not EVE Online per say, but I picked up EVE Valkyrie over the weekend. Fun game. So far I think the Strix assault fighter is my favorite.

yeah diplomacy, connections and that stuff i have them. what i dont have injected are the mission specific connection books like Security connections, and the like. im actually trying to get enough LP to buy them directly because they cost a lot in the market.

im getting close to the LP amount for the first book, and from there i should be able to farm L4s for a while until i can buy the other 2. also, by getting LP from here i should be able to get Faction ammo at low cost. just need to buy the required amounts of T1.

Been wondering about that game. Now that I have a proper flight stick again it might be worth looking into. What's it like, gameplay-wise?

You don't ever use a flight stick of any sort in that game. I enjoy it, best way to "describe" it is probably for you to go play it, and remember that the manufacturing, research, and even mining are more fun in-game than in the tutorial (You'll know what I mean after you start).
