An Astero just appeared out of nowhere, uncloaked? Either POS-trash (Sitting in a POS, I mean) or an idiot. No decent wormholer would hang out without his covops cloak engaged.

Your probe has more than paid for itself, you should try some pirate sites in C1-C3 WHs.

perhaps.

but i will probably have to change the fit. not exactly fit for survival in deep space.

You wouldn't go into a WH suspecting to survive a fight anyway. If someone gets the jump on you, your chances are slim. Just try to align and jump out before you are pointed, that is the best you can do in an exploration ship, especially one without a cloak.
But remember to use a clone without implants, and get your loot out early and often (or use a mobile depot and don't forget how you got into that WH).

Wormhole space: Do NOT get off of Dscan.

If you see ANYONE on your overview, get out.

DO NOT GET ABSORBED IN HACKING A CAN IN A WORMHOLE!!!!!!! This will get you jumped faster than you can say "Divided attention"

Eyes on overview, eyes on Dscan, always. Stay aligned if possible, if not, then have a MWD and burn ready to burn like your  life depends on it (Because it probably does)

i have already adjusted my UI for that. D-Scan is filtered for PvP, anomalies filtered out of probe scanner. and enough space to watch the star map or look for a direct warp into a star/planet/moon/whatever at first notice.

yeah the probe would probably get blaped if jumped on, having stabs in the lows wouldnt help in anyway yeah. and yeah i dont have a backup clone yet.

my worst concern for whs however is getting exploded by the site. i dont know what to expect out there, and low sec sites for now have turned a bit hard to do at 100% (mainframes tend to blow up)

Low-level PIRATE SITES in wormholes (Have a pirate faction name in their name, like "Serpentis Ruined Quarry") do not explode and have no rats. But learn how to use the DIRECTIONAL part of Dscan to check EVERYTHING before you go there.

decided to do it the stupid way because i couldnt get to jump clone. first hole is a C5 and i spend a good portion of time looking for another hole. find a C3 with a lot of connections and a serpentis data site.

total profit right now 10 million.

one hole leads to another C5
another leads to Stain
another to Solitude
and the last leads to Test owned space that i didnt bother to read.

yeah time to return. maybe i get better luck the next expedition. maybe i get blown up. who knows...

what is most frustrating is that the C5 hole had so much juicy sites according to eve survival. but yeah, capital escalations and even drifter spawns.

Yeah, C5 sites are LUDICROUSLY profitable.

But in order to run them, we had to play with three or four remote-repping cap-chained battleships (With me in a sad little Hurricane providing fire support) in a cataclysmic variable (Increases remote-rep and capacitor transfer ability) wormhole.

It was profitable as heck, though.

yeah. the hole wasnt even populated. not a single structure in scan for all the time i was out there trying to plot another exit. it was choke full on signatures, a good chunk of that data and gas. but there was probably tenths of anomalies too. a shame honestly.

found another C3. it had 4 holes but no relevant sites.

first one was a C4 magnetar.
second was a C2 pulsar. (there was a loki in scan, nope nope nope).
the third lead to low sec. didnt cross it.
the fourth lead to another C3. i entered

the second C3 had only 3 signatures. all more wh links. both led to high sec.

i snatched some abandoned drones.

returned all the way back to the low sec stagging system.

second signature was a C2 cataclysmic.

found 2 data sites. one Gurista and one Blood Raider.

more or less completed both for a pity reward of 14 million. that would be a total of 24 million from exploration today.

think im gonna pass the night on this wormhole, hope no one will be around tomorrow so i can keep scanning the remaining signatures.

I found gas mining pretty disappointing due to the lenghty time needed to find sites and explore the wormholes.

I just hop into a dessy and do some faction warfare in a quiet system and of course another hugely popular alternative is grabbing a navy vexor and going afk ratting.

Here's the thing: If you jump into a REALLY high-class (C5 or even C6) you can spend roughly 15 minutes in a gas site with EXTREMELY valuable gas before the rats hit. You can then drop by the NEXT gas site and continue filling your really-inexpensive Venture or possibly a specific gas-huffing frigate.

Define "extremely". I see gas prices for the most valuable gas (fullerite c-320) as being 56 million (buy probably) for a full venture. How long do you take to navigate those wormholes, scan sites and fill up your hold?

I can get more ISK from running one small FW PLEX (15m) under favourable conditions.

Not sure. It's not really tedious until you start mining, though. Basically, scan your way into an acceptable wormhole, find ALL the sites, and then run pirate data/relic sites before coming back in a gas miner.

So I have been thinking. We need to form a Bay 12 alliance. Or corp.
If it was an alliance, we could name it something like Slaves to Armok, or maybe Boatsmurdered, and the individual corps could be named after what they do. (Hunter, miner, etc. Sov corp could be Mayor or something)
I honestly think it would work really well.
Message me in game if anyone wants to try this. (ign Johiah Parmala)
