Yeah, I recently read a post on The Mittani about the current state of Sov null and how it's become exceedingly stagnant. I dislike the highly structured nature that sov null has evolved into, I'd much rather it be like the days of old where everything was in a constant state of flux. Granted, no one really likes sov wars and pos bashing, so I can see why people have gravitated away from the grind-y, repetitive nature of capturing enemy space. I think that CCP needs to take measures to make sov null interesting again for older players, or they may lose them entirely to sheer boredom.

Of course, considering I have no personal experience with null sec alliances and wars and coalitions, I might just be blowing smoke out my ass XD

General reminder: Odyssey is being deployed in a couple hours, and CCP has a less-than-stellar record of smooth deployments. Everyone might want to have couple days worth of skill training queued.

They're estimating 6 hours of downtime or thereabouts. I have extrapolated from previous releases and queued up 2 weeks of skill training accordingly.

I was an active player when that bug happened. Fortunately I wasn't running the version of windows that was affected.

So... How's Odyssey? I'm already hearing half the player base whining, but I'm assuming that's just the usual response to changes, and that there's probably some good stuff in the expansion?

I wish I could join the exploration fleet you guys are getting going, but I'm currently stuck with horrid internet for a few months and can not do anything that might involve any risk, because of the lag and constant disconnects.

Well I joined my first goon fleet today is was exciting then boring: the fuck you fleet doctrine is not fun when there is no one to kill I did see a Titan though which made it better

They added convenience and then frustration within frustration to exploration. Spraying cans. Nuff said.

I can think of a few Odysseys that have been better received than this one (Homer's, Abe's). Seems there are a lot of complaints. Then again you don't often hear non-complainers either.
