I have to agree with LordBucket, and this is exactly why I declined CEO multiple times when asked. People do not seem to understand what operational security means, and hand out roles like candy. There is no excuse for the access list being that long, none at all.

I haven't asked for any roles since joining. Heck I don't even have corp hangar access, and I'm fine with that. If there is a need though, I'd be happy to function as the security manager for the Corp. I've been around a long time playing EVE and I have a naturally suspicious nature anyway. I also handle security IRL as a large part of my job and I am, dare I say, quite good at it.

If you like, I'll organize the refining system we have so that this cannot happen again. (Well... cannot happen without willful negligence on the part of an officer of the corp)

Sorry for suggesting that we murder Anja :c

I think the point is why should we have to set everything up so we track every member like big brother? We're more like a community in the corp than a business and we should be able to trust each over enough just to leave stuff around the place and not have to worry that it's going to be stolen. There is also under 30 of us ! So it's not like we are a huge corp.
If we really are a community and can trust each other, what's wrong with being able to track every action in our shared hangar?

Plus, we don't have high standards for admittance. Yes you have to be a regular bay12er, but this does not guarantee that you are not a member of any other group that may or may not be willing to steal from us. We want to minimize any damage a potential traitor can do. In a game like eve, we can't pretend that these people don't exist.

Well, no harm done I guess.  I believe I had about 2 million isk worth of Kernite and Scordite in my bin, but I can wait on that that until the people with tons of ores are recompensed.  I hadn't realized I had to request refinement though, so I kinda just left them in there hoping they'd eventually get done  :D .

About the POS, I don't really have much interest in it I guess. It wouldn't do much for me (I'm primarily mission running).  To be honest, I don't know if it'd really be all that tempting to contribute towards one unless it adds something to gameplay, which from the sounds of things, in Hi-sec it really doesn't give me anything that I can't get anywhere else.

Apparently I'm worse with names than you ;) You'll need to let me know who you are on Eve so I can send money out :)

Not good with names

1) Erisu again here.

2) Lasik, I appreciate your honesty and courage for admitting your mistake. I am sure we all need ISK one way or another and we wouldn't have had this situation if we had more transparency of what's going on (i.e. you badly needing a loan). I am sure by now you have learned this lesson.

3) I'd vouch for keeping Lasik in the corp. He did make a mistake but he also did admit it and transfer back the ISK. I personally have no grudge against him.

4) I'd also vouch for having proper security measures. Unauthorised use of personal items aside, items will get misplaced every now and then, even by accident. Therefore, having audit logs and security locks enable us to prevent misunderstanding and potential internal conflicts. I'd suggest we appoint two experienced officers to manage the security (forsaken1111 and someone else).

I have to agree with both of you. I've kind of avoided even joining the corporation because I've been a part of a few B12 groups in the past. For a while it is just everyone working together and not caring, then people start to perceive others taking advantage, then we split into factions, then we all stop playing.

The idea of having a "pure" corporation where everything belongs to everyone and there is no "big brother" watching is nice, but not really workable.

Fikes, will you be on this weekend? I'd like to meet you and transfer CEO of the old corp to my alt to hold it in case we need it.

If that's the case then this is probably our chance to break that habit. If we could run this corp as professionally as a normal corp but with the advantage of knowing the officers themselves are part of B12 community, then it'd make us similar to other community-based corps in EVE (Goonswarm, Reddits).

General reminder for the Summer skill change, CCP is in Iceland. Their summer starts in April, not June like it does for some of us.

We don't know yet exactly when during summer the changes will arrive, but those planning to complete skill training plans before the changes might potentially have as few as 32 days to finish it. Some skills, like Battlecruisers and Destroyers, will be duplicated to racials even with partial training. For example, if you're only 50% to BC 5, you'll get 50% to each racial Battlecruiser skill when the change happens. Incomplete training is not a total loss. For some changes though, like injecting Command Ships skill to avoid the additional 40 days of training prerequisites being added, it is necessary to reach training targets to get any benefit from them.

Due diligence is advised.

I started training one of the skills that's going to be split and it labeled itself as "Caldari" once it was in the training queue, even though it hadn't been so in the skill list. I'm pretty sure it was my Destroyers skill, which is at 4 right now (was going for 5 but opted not to since I'm focusing more on T2 Frigates).

Are we sure that they'll release it at the start of summer, though? Even though their summer starts earlier, the update may come mid or late summer, right?

Indeed. I've nearly completed my destroyer/battlecruiser skill plans and command ships are next for my characters.

I've seen no official release date more precise than "summer." Sure it might be middle or late summer, but do you want to depend on that?

Folks, knowing the profit potentials of Incursion, I'd suggest we start building our own corporate Incursion fleet with the purpose of being able to run Incursion at least every weekend.

Based on my limited knowledge, the following are to be factored in:
Fleet composition (e.g. armour-tanked or shield-tanked)
Incursion type (e.g. Vanguard or HQ)

If we could get this organised, we'd be able to set individual goals to learn specific skills required to effectively contribute to the Incursion fleet. Perhaps ISK-strapped members can start off with a logi ship (Basilisk or Scimitar), while saving up for a more combat-oriented ship.

Guide (not sure how things have changed since this was published):
