I swear to god if you do that to my corp I will hunt you down.

Do it to some Russians, or to a big WH group like PL or Exhaledot

Don't worry, I've already got a mark picked, and they haven't even moved into the hole yet. And also, I'm easy to hunt down. Come and visit me in 6VDT-H!  :P

How practical is it to get playtime solely through in game currency? Is it something that could be done on a few hours of play a week?

I've been playing eve on and off for about three years now, and recently started again on my very first account.

I'm up for a Bay12 corp if we get one going. My ingame name is Azated. I know, creative, right?

in-game name is Fintarius.

And really, all I want is a B12 corp. Because frankly, what better way to own 0.0 then by creating a Mountainhome?

Unless you're already in an established corp or you have a friend who will give you free money, not really.

Apparently PLEX(the playtime) costs around 200 million ISK - something you could get if you knew what you were doing and you scavenged off high level players doing PvE content.

I've been meaning to get into EVE for a while.  I played the free trial and thoroughly enjoyed the game, but I've never got round to subscribing.  If I do get into it eventually, I second the notion for a Bay12 corporation, as it sounds like a great deal of !fun!

Hate to break it to you, but plex are around 500 million now. And the average a very high level player is able to make from high sec missioning, before they nerfed high sec mission loot, was about 50 mill per hour, in a ship that it takes months or possibly years of training to fly properly, http://jestertrek.blogspot.com/2012/05/comment-of-week-hard-numbers

Do you people hate me having money or what?  :P
I'm actually working on a little project right now to make a massive amount of ISK. Step one, plant Tengu capable spy in wormhole corp. Step two, gain hangar and SMA access. Step three, find a path either into hisec or our sov space. Step four, bring in friends, clear out the SMA and corp hangar, pull down the POS and GTFO.

would take a lot of time and effort, probably wouldnt work (they wont give you access for a long time. Also, you probably wouldnt getthat much isk worth of stuff from a little wormhole corp.

I got a better idea that is much quicker and easier. Go work for a few hours at just about any job where you live, earn $40. Buy PLEX, sell PLEX. takes about 2-6 hours depending on how much you can make mowing lawns or whatever jobs you can find.

Your plan above will take probably 100's of hours chatting and running wormholes with them to build trust. Maybe thats fun for you, but I would rather get my ships and grief some schmucks with my time.

Scamming is very profitable if you're in a large alliance. People see the ticker, they go "oh, hey, I've heard of these guys, they're cool." and you run off with their assets after talking to them for an hour. But in this case, they're keen on sharing an SMA, so it's pretty simple. In a WH corp of decent size (20-30 members), you pretty much have to share the SMA. The director roles would kind of be the icing on the cake.

in theory, or fantasy, its very profitable. In practice, its really not.

You MIGHT make more isk per hour than ratting or something, you might not once you add up all the hours. Of course it could be more fun (maybe).

You would still be better off mowing lawns or delivering newspapers and buying isk, just sayin.

I prefer to blow up peoples ships, even better when they cry or rage or something. I'm not a pirate because i really dont care about isk and I dont ransom anything. Straight grief, thats the only thing that tickles my cold black heart.

Oh, trust me, I've already made about 5 billion ISK in scamming. Since we've got great SRP, I don't have to worry about ratting/missioning to make ISK for doctrine ships. Anyways, each to their own. Now, I want to throw a little question out here, who has been burned/scammed in EVE? I'm curious to see who here has/hasn't.
