Hey, I've been on in the past week, just... not when any of you were, except for a couple times seeing Crusty.
It listed you as having been offline for more than a week. Sorry, we were just going by the dates listed in EVE.

Also Denzi and I are parking alts in the hole so we still have access to it.

I hope to god you didn't sell any of my ships.

As soon as I log in, I'll start trucking them out to hisec. I'm a bit scared of trying to play on my desktop...

Hope someone sees this - as you know, I'm terrible at scanning, and I need an exit from the WH into hisec. Also, what happened to my Retreiver? Anya contracted my Brutix back to me, but the barge is nowhere to be found.

Well, sure, if you're gonna check first thing on Monday morning...

Also, Shards, I grabbed a couple ships that weren't mine just to get 'em clear. One might've been your retri. What was its name, I'll contract it back. It's currently in a station in Amarr Hisec

Hey Melvin, can you contract that Noctis back to Anya, she's the one who purchased that one.

Fondest memory ever just happened:
Surprisingly large battle and I'm in my tiny little babby ship watching from a distance.
Someone gets wrecked nearby, I fly closer and steal their shit.
...
So much money.

NI-0242 Spade, IIRC. I left my Myrm floating inside the POS shields.

I've got a bit of a story to share. I started playing EVE about a month ago, and registered pretty quickly after downloading the trial. I joined a corp, all that good stuff. To protect those involved, I shall be changing the names of everyone (lol).

Our corp had a peculier system: three seperate leaders, all with 33% of the shares each. This was so a single person couldn't just up and take all our corp had and run off.

John, the main founder, was a great guy. He was very involved with the members; when I joined, our numbers were around 10-15. After a couple weeks, our alliance, of which our corp was the executor, had skyrocketted to 100+ members, most of which were in our corp. The other two leaders of the corp, Alfred and George, didn't really come on very much.

Due to our high member count, (at least, in my experience) we had lots of different skillsets. Planetary Interaction, Mining, Missioning, it was all there. But it wasn't to last.

John went on vacation. While he was gone, Alfred and George started coming on more. They didn't interact much, mostly just doing solo things. Then, while most of the corp was asleep, he struck. I say he, because Alfred and George was the same person.

Remember that thing I said about having 33% shares each, so one person couldn't steal the corp? Well, it was more like 66% for one person, and 33% for the other. Alfred/George stole the corp. He kicked out John. We had six billion ISK in money and assets. He took it all. And then he messed with every members' role settings, so they couldn't leave the corp. Then he set the tax to 100%.

Needless to say, that kind of sucks when everything you've worked for in a game comes crashing down, but the fact that this kind of thing is possible in EVE, it just makes me grin.

tl;dr this game is awesome.

Okay, the rest is just everyday eve-stuffery, but this? I didn't know this was possible. I thought that you could always boot yourself back to the NPCorp...

I'd actually reccomend slandering their names, as you can't change a name in EVE.

So, what are everyone's thoughts on the recent patch changes? Here's a pick of my favourites (You can review the full changelog here - http://www.eveonline.com/updates/patchnotes.asp)

* The following changes have been made to the Retribution
New bonus: 7.5% bonus to Small Energy Turret tracking speed per skill level.
+1 mid slot
+15 CPU
+200 armor hp

* The following changes have been made to the Vengeance
New bonus: 5% bonus to Missile Launcher Rate of Fire per level.
+1 high slot
+10 CPU

* Sister core probe launcher and expanded probe launcher boost to scan probe strength has been increased from 5 to 10%.

* Bomb launcher II capacity increased from 150 to 225m3

* In order to simplify the naming system in EVE, the following changes have been made to Weapons & Ammunition:
All EM missiles will now have the name ‘Mjolnir’.
All Thermal missiles will now have the name ‘Inferno’.
All Kinetic missiles will now have the name ‘Trauma’.
All Explosive missiles will now have the name ‘Nova’.

* Added automatic calendar entries for control towers indicating when they run out of fuel.

* Agent entries now have information on if you have been offered a mission or accepted one from said agent.

* A compact member list is now available in chat by right clicking on the tab for chat. This means you don’t see the portrait and can see more pilots in the list.

* The collision for Acceleration gates has been resized to reduce the possibility of ship entanglement when initiating gate acceleration.

These are the most important entries to me :)

The missile name change confused the hell out of me when I logged in, noticed I was out of missiles for my mission running ship, and searched in assets and then in market for the Bloodclaw missiles, to no avail...

Other than that, not a bad patch, I guess.

Okay, the rest is just everyday eve-stuffery, but this? I didn't know this was possible. I thought that you could always boot yourself back to the NPCorp...

You can, but you can't leave a corp instantly if you have roles. You have to remove the roles, wait 24 hours, then leave. So for 24 hours, the CEO gets 100% of your mission rewards and bounties. Wouldn't affect me; none of my income is taxable  :D

So this might be a long-shot, but are there any Aussies, Kiwis or other moontime dwellers around looking for a corp? Our recruitment thread is here:

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=53994&find=unread

What we offer, more than the nullsec access or PVP roams or whatever, is freedom. No scheduled ops, no kill quotas, no requirement to log in every day / week / whatever. Just show up, do your thing, and get paid. We're based in Providence which is the only really "neutral" area of null as far as I know; neutrals are not shot on site... provided your corp isn't already KOS you can show up in CVA space any time and won't be shot at... not by CVA and allies at least. So even if you're not interested in my corp / alliance i'd urge you to consider giving providence a try. Once you've tasted the delicious ABC ores and faction rats you can find in null you'll never go back.

How do you find living in CVS space? Did you need to do anything specific before moving in, or did you just show up? :)
