Wish I could get some ISK, but my trial expired, it's a good game.

If Melvin disappears forever we could always move stuff over to ARS. We'll have to raid the HFS hangers and wallet, but it is still an option. Well, more of a last resort. I assume Melvin will be back though.

Edit: In game name is Thrawn Armidious if you have something interesting left over.

I'm not dead! I swear!

I was on vacation for most of a week, but I'm totally still alive, and totally just finished another l5 skill. Now what's this about getting podded...?

I got us killed again.

Managed to track down a C3 wormhole near Finid. Inside I found a roid bet with Bistot and Arknor. Regi, Denzi and I loaded up in a beastower, retriver, and prophecy respectively.

We went in and began our happy mining. After a few minutes I picked up some "sisters combat probes", but they went away and I thought nothing of it.

I scanned the Onyx a second before it warped in on top of Regi and Denzi. Then they died.

Two lessons were learned that day. 1) if you see combat probes, gtfo. 2) Fikes will get you killed but manage to survive.

I did manage to pull some of the arknor and sleeper salvage stuff out. but not enough to cover losses.

I did warn you about wormholes.

Twice. :)

Also, ISKies from hemmingjay have been dispersed.

I know I know. What pisses me off is I had all the info I needed for us to get out of there with some amount of loot and didn't act on it. No one seemed too down about it though, which is good. I'll see about tracking another worm hole down tonight and giving it another go. More carefully this time.

Well, based on Denzi's killmail, they got just about nothing from the Retri's wreck, so small favors...

And yeah, HICtors will do that to small mining ops. Heck, by the time you see the probes, it's usually too late.

I am sure he came in with a covert ops, scanned us down, went back through and grabbed his HIC and then came in to destroy us. So we had more than a couple of minutes to get out.

How big of a beating can a loan HIC take? Could a couple of PVP retri's and rifters take one down?

I don't fly one, so I can't say firsthand. I'll just say this: It depends on the pilots and the fittings.

Also, offtopic, When the heck did I get a thousand Aurum?

Best thing you can do is keep yourself aligned to something so you can quickly warp away the instant you see combat probes. It doesn't take people long to find you.

This. If you can see their probe, they can see you, and they are coming to kill you. Not soon, not eventually, not, Oh, I guess I should think about moving, NOW.

Or, y'know, you can die. 'Cuz losing is fun.

Ooooh, wish I had the money to get back into this. I loved EVE, but hated playing it alone.

Depending on how the HIC is fitted, a good amount.

EVERYONE got a thousand Aurum because eveisreal.net reached a sharing milestone or somesuch.

In other news. Melvin, you have GOT to set things up so we aren't totally helpless if you disappear.

You're ... uh ... not totally helpless.

Everyone has full hangar access, the wiki's still at the same web address, and it's less likely than I am to be wrong about stuff.

Also, it's summer. I'm allowed to go on vacations.

But can they approve member join requests? If you have all the power in the corp, it kind of limits it's expansion, does it not?
