Is there any reason to equip multiple shield boosters?

Is there a way to set deployed drones to auto attack any ships attacking my ship?

Okay... so... because of their apparent lack of care as to people making multiple trial accounts, I went ahead and signed up for a two week trial... just because. Just playing around with it, seeing if I could handle playing it enough to make a resub worth it.
Why would they care if you made multiple trial accounts?

Used to be in the EULA, one account per person. But I guess that's changed at some point.

I don't think anyone ever obeyed that restriction anyway. I've heard that many of the "pro" players maintain multiple accounts for money-grinding and espionage purposes.

CCP is extremely friendly to multiple accounts per user. It's possible they might get upset if you create free trial accounts one after another in order to play forever.

I just made a trial account to play with while I decide whether to reactivate.

I'm in game as Leon Rand.

EDIT:
Currently in the "Bay12 Eve" channel with Erisu Fujiora. Spraypaint Junkie was in here briefly earlier, but from the recent thread traffic I'd received the impression that we had more people playing than this. Is my timing just bad? How many people are playing Eve again?

Seems to me that last timewe had a push to get bay12 in Eve, we had 6-8 people on at a time.

Maximum I have seen so far was 5 people in that channel. But then again I am 2 days into this game. What about joining the same corp if we don't have enough people to do our own?

The old corp, HFS, appears to still exist. 11 members, but no ide if they're still active. I sent a message to the CEO.

I'm obviously playing, though when I've been on it's usually been between 4 and 5 people online. Might be bad timing? Or I just have good timing?

I've wanted to try this game for some time and finally did yesterday. Character customization is awesome... but I believe it's not my game. Anyway, I may try it a little longer while my trial is active and see if I end up liking it. If you see Corik Allery around the newbie area, that's me :)

I ran through the business and industrial tutorials today... I'd never really gotten into that side of things before(except a bit of small scale frigate mining). It was actually an interesting change of pace. Started in on the exploration tutorial before I realized how late it was and how tired I am. What I saw was really interesting... that's a part of the game that I'd never even touched before.

Two shield boosters (or armor repairers, for that matter) is twice as good as one, but drains twice the amount of cap. Very simple, really. In practice, there's rarely call for two of them, but some super-tank fits make use of two. Dual-repped Dominix, for example.

Drones are supposed to attack stuff attacking you if you set them to aggressive (right-click the drone window top left) but they are insanely stupid about it and sometimes just doesn't attack at all. I rebound F to be "All drones engage target", it works out with quite a bit less hassle.

Ditto, I generally keep my drones passive as it avoids them doing stupid things. Instead I have (much as Silfurdreki) rebound F to issue an attack command for my drones. It does mean that I need to target lock my opponent for them to be useful, so jammers are a pain, but if that situation occurs, you can always set them to aggressive, pull them in, then re-deploy them and they should auto engage.

Something random, can't remember at the moment. Think it starts with a 'J'. I figure it's not worth handing it out anyway as I won't keep this account even if I do resubscribe. If I do, I'll mention that one in here. (Can't remember it at the moment either.)

Anyone know if there's any rules against transferring my assets to my main character from this one if I happen to resubscribe? It likely won't be a hell of a lot, but if I liquidate everything before the trial is over it could come out to a few million ISK.
