I think the Zealot might have a bit of trouble given its complete lack of a Drone Bay, but still, it's much easier to get into a BS than it is a HAC, despite the HAC being one of my long-term goals. Going for T2 tank, weaponry, and everything else before I move to T2 ships, though. I might even go into Rockets/HAMs so I can use the Khanid T2s, because the Retribution's (One of the Assault Frigs, only has 1 mid, meaning it can tackle or kite, but no-one in a frig's going to stay around you long enough to die.) a bloody terrible ship for anything but PvE, and I do like the look of the Sacrilege and Malediction.

Depending on your skills/fit, you might have a bit of a problem fitting a salvager on the Omen; I couldn't fit anything except a small pulse laser in that last slot.

Pyrate, if you're still playing, you still interested in the Omen I have? You'll need Jury Rigging at 1 for it, I threw a Cap rig on it when I first started making them.

Got trapped in a Wormhole last night after a corp-mate brought a BS through. Around 17 anomalies in that bastard, took us hours to find the other WH, and it led into 0.0. I lost my Rookie ship investigating a Radar Site (They Scram in C3 Wormholes, and no-one bothered to tell me), which meant I couldn't scan, and he lost his Tempest on the mad rush through 0.0 to get back to Empire, mostly due to my computer freezing up for around 12(!) minutes and him not wanting to leave me behind. We both made it out alive, though.

I'm still playing, but I have a bunch of stuff to do. Homework, programming, and other games take time, time which EVE also needs.

That's pretty unlucky there; there's a grand total of two different sites that has scrambling frigs in C3's. Figures you should warp into one of them.

I managed to baaarely fit the salvager, along with all the other stuff you recommended (got 2 heatsinks, 2 hardeners, 1 med armor repairer, 3 cap rechargers, and 4 focused beams).

But the missions are feeling far harder than level 1s, even with a cruiser. The really annoying things are the frigates, I just cant seem to take them down quickly enough even with 3 drones. I think I'll have to replace the salvager with a small missile launcher or a small gattling pulse.

A medium pulse (Largest of the smalls) does well, and I think is just about possible to fit in the last high. You'll only be able to hit frigs before they get close with your Focused Meds; hit them first if you can, and let the drones/small gun take any that are orbiting you.

Apparently, the only time the Omen really shines is with T2 Pulses. This sounds about right to me, the Powergrid on it is not really sufficient for Beams.

If you can get your cap to a reasonable state with rigs, do it, and consider swapping a tracking computer for one of the cap rechargers.

Oh? Tell more, personally I'd really prefer a roleplaying corp.

Was what I was looking at, I still haven't talked to anyone yet but it seems like it'd be a good fit for me.

If you're in to roleplaying, I hear a lot of the corps that concentrate on faction wars do that.  I don't have any names, but it may be a good place to start looking.

Eve is not unique in this amoung the MMO's but the customer service provided by the GM's is horrible.

I don't know what, if any, guide they follow but it's extremely inconsistant and biased.

How so?  Are you referring to the t20 incident or something personal?

I'm unfamiliar with the t20 incident, my opinion is based off personal experience.

Briefly I was in a rookie system and a pirate guild flipped my can. No biggie, I kind of expected that at some point. However, they continued to do so over and over. I assume in an atempt to bait me. As I understand the rules this sort of thing is considered griefing in a rookie system so I reported them. The GM response was simply "This is part of EVE online." I explained to them that I understood this but since this was a rookie system it was a clear violation...they disagreed so I cancelled my sub.

Plenty of other games out there.

Were you a complete rookie at the time? If not, you can't expect geography to save you. Otherwise the rookie systems would be swarmed by miners trying to get away from the kind of people you were having trouble with.

Gratz on the Corp. I joined a PvPish corp, not regretted it once, it's been great fun, even losing my BC to a damn good piece of timing on a Roam. Only problem is most of the guys aren't in my timezone.

Yep...I had recently come back to the game (hadn't played in years) and started a new character to experience the tutorials. I was still in the tutorial system in fact.
