I was thinking of starting a Gallente character. Not that it really matters with most of you since it will be months before I can do L4s or whatever else.

I can tank L4's easily enough.. I wouldn't mind bringing you along if you wanted.  However, I can only do L4's in Caldari space :X

Nah, I wasn't asking for that, I'd just be a burden. Just saying that although I'd like to join other Bay12ers doing cool stuff, I'll be a newb for a while and only will be able to join in the cool stuff (without being a burden) much later.

Edit: Wormhole space? Fun.. need any dedicated salvagers? Or tanks.. my Drake is a beast, and if I don't work towards that gallente frigate I mentioned, I was going to be working toward a Nighthawk (I think is its name) for even more beastly tankages.

We actually have need of a good Drake pilot - mostly to chase people out of our wormhole if needed. Myself, I'm working towards a Gallente Incursion battleship and the new Tier 3 battlecruiser.

Well, I can't say I'm a 'good' drake pilot, but I'll definitely give it a shot.  It might be a few days before I get on though.

Also, Poltifar, in no way would you be a burden.  Any little bit of dps would help.. I could leave the smaller ships to you, for example.  Plus, its 100x more fun with a friend than without one, even if the friend is in a tiny little near-useless frigate   I'd literally alt tab and watch a movie while trying to shoot down the damned battleships in my battlecruiser.  My passive tanking is strong enough to handle quite a bit, but my dps is lacking.

And I'd definitely like joining you both. Once I at least do the basic missions and whatever over the holidays, i'll see if i can figure out how to make my way to the wormhole base (or caldari space, i guess, though i think crusty would be in wormhole space by then)

Btw, anyone experience that "Time Dilation" feature they added with the new expansion yet? Been reading up on it.. looks interesting.

Apparently, during laggy situations it slows down time (Yes, CCP has developed a time-control technology  ) instead of simply freezing up.  Its by a % too, so say the server is 10% overloaded, it'll slow down time by 10%, etc.  Looks neat.. although I've only seen a small amount of examples, and that was on the Crucible trailer.  Gonna guess its on a system-by-system basis of course, so it'll only affect areas with shit tons of ships.  Bet its always active in Jita..

Jita is already able to handle 1600 people without lag. But then it is running on a special monster (blade) server. Time dilation will kick in when there is a huge fleetfight that fully utilizes the blade that system is hosted on. Considering the fact that you can already am for a dedicated blade if you know there will be a big fight (pos/station/whatever coming out of reinforce) you will see TD most of the time when there are huge fleetfights in 0.0 or big lowsec fights. (1000/700 pp)
