Things I've spotted from them, a Tengu(attacked me outside the PoS, flew off quickly, very quickly, seems it might have been nearly killed by the PoS turrets. Was seen loitering in system for a while after that) a Cheetah(Destroyed by the PoS turrets because he forgot to cloak before warping.) a Thrasher(reported by another player, no info on it.), a Drake(Was sitting in their PoS.) a Buzzard (Spotted in system hanging around uncloaked, didn't see much of anything else, likely a corp ship, hanging out in their PoS. Was significantly timed such that it was likely a replacement ship for the Cheetah.) a Huginn(an unlikely that was probably a wandering ship.) a myrmidon(Reported by another corpmate nothing else on that.)

In my opinion a whole lot of nothing. Costly Caldari and Minmatar ships though. So they are built for PvP.

Something of significance that we need to consider, we have a static to a C4, which means people can bring capital ships to bare against us, if they were determined enough. This personally freightens me slightly, and we might consider getting at least 2 large cannons. Just in the unlikely event someone much larger and more organized decides they want to have a go at us.

I don't think any one would bring capitals through. It would be extremely difficult. You'd have to find out where the C4 drops people off, get capitals there, into our hole, and then leave them there while we go into reinforced mode. Generally not likely.

The problem with having another active player in the pit is that all ops become more dangerous.

What we really need to do is get some people in covert ops ships and setup an ambush.

Got word from my company, I'm gonna be incredibly busy through the end of October so you guys will not be able to rely on me until then. I may be on or off but nowhere near as often as I was before. Still, anything I could do for you, you can do yourself and I'll still be able to run out the collected loots each week and reset my PI.

Macharial, and his peep, Lancea decided to fuck with one of our blasters, Lancea was in a battleship, Macharial was sitting by at his PoS while Lancea decided to try and take down our cannons. I think because he saw 1 of us on who had been AFKing he decided to take a chance.

What happened? Did we lose the blaster, or did it take him out?

According to the mail he got it down to 84% shield and we did not get a kill.

How many guns do you have? and what race made your POS? I'd also suggest getting some jammers and warp disruption batteries, if you don't have them, especially warp disruption batteries make them have to commit ships to attacking, there's no way to do hit-and-runs with them present. My own corp's POS has one of each type of jammer, two webifying batteries and two warp disruption batteries (I think, might be more).

I could post a picture of our POS, if you'd like, I'm not saying it's the best possible configuration, but I think it's pretty good.

The problem we have right now, is they are getting a stealth bomber in, uncloaking after locking on, launching a smartbomb, and skeedadleing, all in the space of about 3 seconds, so the guns aren't getting a chance to lock onto them.

Oh, then I guess the guys trying to do that to our POS were just incompetent, since they lost two SB's in the span of an hour or two.

Just putting a note here they my net 'should' be working again (Seems a little buggy at the moment, but better). I will be taking a week off of EVE between the 2nd(my last day I believe, if I Counted the time I have left right) and the 9th(when I should be buying another month of time)

In the meantime I'll still be hanging out on vent if anyone needs me, but I simply will not have access to in game stuff.

Good luck with that, Denzi... Hopefully the POS will be there when you get back!  =D

We are still pretty small (Only half a million members!), but has anyone put any thought into putting up a message board that could be a bit more secure then bay12?  I mean, bay12 is pretty off the beaten path for anyone to do any serious meta-game espionage (not that we're a target yet), but still it would be nice to have some place to post plans for POS defense, desired training skills, desired ship loadouts and roles, and discussions on tactics and what not.  Its all good that we discuss these things in game, but those thoughts quickly get lost to the ether.  I would suggest something but it is not something I have much experience with other then being a member.  If necessary I can certainly do the research.  Maybe Battleclinic has something?

I don't think we have a lot of reason to. Everything can be handled through corp mails and the free boards are always slow to load and riddled with ads, but we should be careful about posting here. It is a bit of a strech, but searching hidden fun stuff will lead you to B12 (or at least the DF wiki) which could lead someone here. Leading someone here alo leads them to our vent info.

Our vent info shouldn't even be on here. If we can't observe even basic security measures we're not going to fare well should we become a target.
