An angry dwarf in full adamantine gear including a war hammer would be a nightmare. It will hit you... again and again and again and again and again. And again.

On thew bright side he would both train hammer real, REAL fast and wouldn't tire at all!(since adamantine is nigh weightless), as he hits his enemy, then hits him again. And again. And again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again....

It's treated as completely normal because this is Dwarf Fortress.  There's absolutely nothing wrong with surrounding yourself with a wall of flames, only to later realize that you're surrounded by a wall of flames.
There's nothing that can't be solved by hurling fifteen roc birds at it.

Get a mayor who likes crowns.  Make 9,001 crown items, do not store them in bins.  Trade all of them to the next caravan despite the ban on trading.  Watch your hammerer get Super Legendary skill as he runs around for the next five years.

Can you actually assign that as a weapon?  Since it's a tool?

I hope you are wrong  :(

He/She's not. Last version was released on the 6th of March. On the 13th, Toady said he was about halfway done. So at the very least it's gonna take another week or so.

Heh. It's true. We computer scientists are notorious over-estimators.

The hammerer has been ecstatic recently. He has taken great joy in slaughter recently. He lost a child to a great tragedy recently. He has taken great joy in slaughter recently. He lost a spouse to a great tragedy recently. He has taken great joy in slaughter recently. He lost a friend to a great tragedy recently. He has taken great joy in slaughter recently. He lost an annoying acquaintance to a great tragedy recently. He has taken great joy in slaughter recently. He had a satisfying sparring session recently.

This is a masterful image of your FPS and the HFS. The HFS is committing a depraved act on your FPS.

No, the idea was to give the hammerer an adamantine hammer first, then let the beatings commence!

I guess you are right....  :(
Its just that I am not sure I wanna start a new fort untill the next release, in which Toady has fixed some of the annoying bugs that are in version .21. (especially Marksmen and Healthcare)

It sounds like the next release its gonna be one of the good ones  :D
I admit I would rather wait another week if it means it will be even better.

Are you referring to the healthcare and marksdwarf bugs that have been in the game since I restarted playing (.16)?

The entire content consists of senseless murder, a pile of faceless naked women and zero regard for human life in general, all in the service of the protagonist's base impulses. It is clearly a cry for help from a neglected, self absorbed and disempowered juvenile badly in need of affectionate guidance. What a sad, sad display.
