Pressure and Floor Grates
« on: March 16, 2011, 06:19:40 pm »

[edit]: Nevermind, I forgot that the water goes up to one z level less than it started at.
I am trying to make water in a U-bend go up through a floor grate (creatures can't deconstruct from below floor grates, and fortifications don't stop swimming creatures). I have run into the problem, however, that the water will not rise through the floor grates (even if they have been opened) to go up to the water's initial level. Is there a way to get around this (without letting creatures through)?

Wall grates don't stop swimming creatures, and can be destroyed by buildingdestroyers.
