There is that...but the odds of him getting involved are slim to none around here

After a few prompts in Iituem's direction, i have decided to be rather naughty and see if necro-ing this thread will kick-start it again.

My apologies for the rule break, but i was really enjoying this when it was going, and i want to see my research plans to the end, among other things.

All in favour of pestering Iituem to start this again, say "aye".

Just don't count me in if it does start again, anyway.

Much as I would enjoy returning to Fiefdoms at War, we would be forced by the weight of time passing, to start again.

Are you so certain we couldn't pick up from where we stopped?

I know that I, personally, could.

Nay.  I'm pretty sure that I couldn't.

F@W is extremely time-consuming and complicated to run, and I don't have that sort of time any more.  I'm happy to let anyone who wishes to use the ruleset to do the game themselves (I never actually deviated from the ruleset, the programs I wrote mostly just helped me execute the rules a little faster), but I'm honestly just not that interested in doing it.  Even if I was, at this stage you would have to start a new game anyway.

That said, if anyone wants to run a new game by all means go ahead.  The rules are yours to exploit as you wish.

It's a shame this had to go...
Hey, Iituem, think you can give us that program of yours? Might make everything easier on whatever poor fool wants to try a Fiefdoms/Countries at War game.

Iitueù, would you mind if I used the map? I'd like to run another game, with a simple ruleset on it.

If you have Python, I can paste the code, yes.

Consider the following:
I essentially started the use of Countries At War on this forum, which got repeatedly improved since the first game.
The way I run CaW falls apart quickly.
