Lord McBrent,

I appreciate your concern but I do not feel the Elves of Arcadia require a lord to be vassal to. I am however very willing to initiate trade with your clan, and to be part of a Mutual Defence pact, as equals.

Lady Alexi, I currently represent not only my people, but the people of Farland and the Cadre as well. I cannot accept a treaty that would force me to draw on my vassal's troops whithout offering them protection, and without their accord.

Lord McBrent,

I have heard of this recent turn of events, and assure you that the Gnomes of Farland are friends of Arcadia, and would have our aid if requested. There is no need to be concerned for their protection. They are in no danger from us.

Quote from: The Letter to Lord McBrent
McBrent,
Thank you for your acceptance of the trade, but I am afraid we may come at an impasse when the alliance moves in to destroy the gnomes. As a Kasr, my only destiny is war, as it was with my father, and the Kasr before him. May we negotiate the terms of your vassalage with the gnomes?
Signed,
Kasr Umirat

To Lord McBrent,

I must withdraw my vassalage, but the trade agreement still stands. I do not wish for you to have your hands tied when the time for war betweenme, and the Western Alliance comes.

Harticus, I do not understand you. You are actually giving up your only friend, so that he may be free to help your ennemies?

Lord Kommisar, it seems the Gnome decided to solve the problems for themselves. Since they seems to think so little of their word as to break it in such a way, I'm afraid I'll have to classify them with the lower of the lowest. For the honor of the McBrent, war will be waged.

OOC: See either way that would have ended up happening. I just made the descion easier, and I clearly stated why I withdrew my offer. It was so when the time came for said war you wouldn't have your tands tied behind your back.

Thank you, Lord McBrent. May the eastern winds blow you a good gale, and may Vremya be on your side.

It has reached us that you have pulled your support of the Gnomes and delcared open war on them. Wise choice, grand Lord. May Kaito* bless you.

We have not yet declared war, and be sure that honourless leaders everywhere are our ennemies, just not the gnomes.

A royal messenger from a sub-cadre operating for Kasr Umirat, the Cadre of Nashi Nadezhdy, has intercepted the message after it has been read.
