An update also broke controller support a long time ago; I've switched computers and controllers and I still can't play it with one, so I consider that a pretty big knock against it (at least, for people like me who prefer controllers over M&K).

The two biggest things off the top of my head are that you don't need hundreds of hours of grinding to actually unlock everything (with unlocking a bunch of stuff requiring you to basically throw away runs) and the fact that each run is far faster and you don't have to sink a hour+ into each of them.

EtG is a good game, but it certainly isn't just Nuclear Throne++.
