Weirdly, Epic is the launcher out of the main 3 that isn't doing anything for Lunar New Year.

Well it is working toward building a botnet for China so that's something, but then, it was already doing that.

Don't know how long it's been going for, but the Star Wars Jedi Knight games are available for $3.50 each on both steam and GOG.  Apparently people still play multiplayer all these years later.

There's a reason for that. Jedi Knight II Outcast is still some of the best Star Wars lightsaber dueling I've ever experienced. It hasn't aged perfectly, but mechanically and in terms of what it lets you do, it's still one of the best. Everyone always croaks about Jedi Academy being the best, but it's literally built on the skeleton of Jedi Outcast and has multiple sabers and staff sabers. Otherwise it's an inferior product IMO.

JA was fine but way way easier than JO, I think mostly because it started you with a lightsaber right off the bat. JO had you work for that damn thing, and even when you did get it, a lot of the times guns would be a bit superior.

Don't think I've ever played either in multi tho, they came at a time when most folks around these parts were still on dial-up or low cap cable connections.

It kind of reminds me of second-string adventure games from the 90s where the art assets don't quite seem to match, like they were built from entirely different color palettes and resolutions.

A bit. Also, the thing where the backgrounds and the characters intentionally clash in all adventure games, so you can tell when a pixel is part of a person, and when it's part of an item you need. Adventure games have an aesthetic, is what I'm saying. Usually pretty fun, though.

edit: Dishonored series is also at a great discount (65-75% off depending on which title) at GOG. I haven't played Death of the

How is BDO anyways? I heard it was pretty good at first, then rapidly turns into a grindfest. And, as I recall, it further alienated people by starting off as a B2P then switching to P2W-ish (officially convenience) at the higher tiers. I had an eye on it at launch, but was preoccupied and never got around to it.

I didn't get far, having a needy small human nowadays who sucks up what used to be gaming time. What I managed to play many moons ago during a free weekend was fine. It's got one of the better combat systems in an MMO.
