Alan wake will be 90% off on steam starting tommorow, may 13th and running to the 15th. That makes it $3 for the game and $1 for american nightmare (standalone dlc thing). It's your last chance to buy it, the music licenses are expiring so they are going to have to remove it from the store.

You will keep the game and be able to play it forever, the license expiration is only for selling it, not playing it.

I can highly recommend it for that price, very fun games that I enjoyed a lot. $3 is a complete steal, and I thought american nightmare was quite good too though it's different from the base game and not everyone liked the changes.

I saw that the complete War for the Overworld pack was on sale on the Humble store for 40% off and was curious to see how it was like now.

I torrented it a long time ago when it was first released to see if it was any good and back then it was pretty clear it was still in development. Then I forgot about it until now.

So I torrented it again, the complete pack this time and after playing 5 minutes of the tutorial I went to buy it straight out. It's soooooo much better now.

Good to know, I played it a year or so back and thought the same - seemed sorta early/mid beta when released and was a bit put off by the jankyness. My threshold is pretty high for that kinda thing, but for that kinda game you need everything running and playing smoothly.

I just...I just can't buy any more deals. Seriously the humble deals, Doom and a few other bits I've picked up recently have just wiped me out. Urgh.

With enough work and polish, it could have been a forgettable flash game on Kongregate.

(I thought Alan Wake was terrible top to bottom :P)

I'd say WftO reached completeness maybe 6 months ago. I quite enjoy it now.

Alan Wake was... kinda weird. The story was interesting(ish), managed to get creepy vibes, but you got tired of killing shadow dudes after a while. So yeah, good graphics, storyline was not bad, gameplay got frustrating quite early

I beat the vanilla campaign and I highly recommend it now. It's leagues better than when it was first "released". There's way more content and it's very clearly gone through the janky remover.

Is it the original game or Warband? I don't even know if I can play original on windows 10. Bannerlord cannot release soon enough.

Last time I tried the original in Win10 it didn't work, but that was a few months ago. It was from a downloaded version from their website though, perhaps the GoG version is different.

Edit: Looks like the GoG version is different, seeing as it at least loads up and lets me create a character... I am happy. M&B is one of the games I really wanted to play when I built my PC, was deeply saddened that I couldn't.

Yeah, GoG makes sure it works on the latest Windows OS, even with the oldest games they release :)

hey can't blame them for trying to move up.

At least virtual machines are viable enough to play games on.
