I'd recommend it if for no other reason than to pluck out the soundtrack's .oggs, tbh. Music's pretty great. Game itself's plenty fun, too, heh.

Oh, question about King Arthur's Gold : is there a big multiplayer community even today ?
I think It was free to play early on (in beta or something), and that the main point was that it was fun in multiplayer, but if there aren't many players online nowadays, it may not be worth it ...
Last I played was months back and it was still alive, but less populated than it used to be. Should still be maybe one or two good-sized servers running.

As part of their birthday sale, for a limited time on the Humble Store Dirt 3 Complete Edition is free.

edit: After checking free for 1 day 21 hours as of this post.

Also after checking, you must redeem your free DiRT 3 Complete Edition key by 10AM Pacific on Saturday, November 19, otherwise the key stops working.

If y'all are into really well made wargames ala Combat Mission. The entire Graviteam Tactics Bundle is on sale for like $5 (96% off?) over at bundlestars. A very good deal. https://www.bundlestars.com/en/bundle/graviteam-tactics-bundle

Oh hey, thanks for the heads-up on this. Not a bad game.

Wow, what a shitty trailer. Is it slow-mo, blurry, and chugging to be artistic or does the game actually play like that?

Just saw the second trailer. Much smoother. Looks like a less complex Arma.

Yeah, it's basically dumbed-down ArmA with a little Battlefield mixed in. Not great right now, but not total trash either.

I find the difference is that Arma is only fun with really organized groups and you often get terrible fps, whereas Squad pub servers are pretty organized with folks on voicecomms more often than not, and real decent performance.

Distant World Universe is 60% off for a month on Steam. Lowest price it's every been, I think.

Still fantastic, but Stellaris is catching up.

Sooo... I've playing House of the Dying Suns and it's really good (if tragically short). Give it a try :)

But what if Stellaris gets jealous and breaks up with you?

Stellaris still needs to get its shit together, so that's okay. Come back when you're older, Stellaris. I will not rob the cradle.
