Gang Beasts is one of those games that's worth it if you're playing it with friends. It's pretty thin otherwise.

Yeah I'm interested too! I already have Se1 from GoG but never came around to actually play it. Heard good things about it's sniper experience, but a bit mediocre non-sniper one? Don't know anything about SE2, but saw one video of skirmish SE3 and it was enough to make me wanna get it! One day, at least... So if anyone can share some opinion on those games, it would be swell.

SE2 is a corridor cover shooter with some neat sniper gimmicks and a rudimentary stealth system. I didn't like it too much but that was because I was expecting it to be a bit more open, or at least wider. For what it is I'd say it's worth a look though. Some missions have you time sniper shots with loud noises to maintain secrecy, and you can always aim for grenades/gas tanks to make stuff go boom. Fun things. The x-ray kill cam did feel a bit nauseating at times, but you can at least decrease it in the options (can't remember if you can turn it off entirely).

There's an arcade mode for gamey physics and more realistic settings that account for wind & bullet drop IIRC. I played with the latter and it was amusing enough, but I didn't finish due to above mentioned false expectations. Can't speak for SE1 or 3.

The current deal on Indie Game Stand is To The Moon - $1 minimum for a Steam key. If you don't have it already, grab it now. I may get a few copies to give away as gifts in the future...

Its about as likely to be what you want as any of the other 'pay a subscription for this box of themed stuff' things that showed up recently though, to be fair.

What concerns me is that they don't even tell you how many games to expect.

On the other hand, glancing in the Humble store, I saw that Davey Wreden, the creator of The Stanley Parable (and all-around awesome guy who was very friendly and helpful, even gave me several free copies to give away when I reviewed the game for my magazine), has released a new game/walking simulator just today which already has rave reviews. It's serious, not funny, but given what he's shared on his blog about his emotional state after Stanley, that's hardly surprising. I think I'm going to buy it right now, making this the second time in my entire life I've bought a game on release day (the first being Harvest Moon). It's on sale for a little while, both for Steam and DRM-free. https://www.humblebundle.com/store/p/thebeginnersguide_storefront

Somehow I feel like one $12 purchased you really enjoyed is going to trump the maximum possible number of light-weight titles HB could throw at you. I have friends who are ok paying $5 for a game they play 1 hour a year, but that isn't my style when it comes to buying and playing games.
