I'll add my voice to "stick with the remakes, if you want to play at all." When the originals were made, they were pretty epic (soooo many hours on Exile III), but there's just much better stuff out there now for less money. The remakes are similar enough to the originals that you're not missing anything, you just get a better play experience. I've also got all of them (they were all in one bundle on Humble ages ago, got the lot for about $3.50), never finished a single one. They are just so long... They get repetitive, and it's not possible to simply grind for resources. If you run out of money (easily done), you're just stuck. Once you kill enemies, they never come back, so you have very finite resources. I didn't realize that when I tried to play through and got to a point where I couldn't really continue.

Hmmmm, I guess I'll pick the 2012 remake and see what I think of it then. If I like it enough, part 2 one day with maybe parts 4-6 later. Thanks.

The older collection is likely to go on sale a few times a year, although more likely at Steam than anywhere else.

Yeah, that's also something I was half counting on, thanks for confirmation.

Humble Bundle Store has Cities in Motion 1 and 2 for $4 US each. Do you want better control and a better interface to Cities: Skylines mass transit? Just play Cities in Motion. For $17 you can get both 1 and 2 with all DLC. DLC is vehicle packs and maps.

That's worth picking up just to give away to some poor member of the unwashed that hasn't yet played one of those three.
I know I will be.

So there's Sega sale over at Steam.

Coincidentally, there's also mirror Sega sale over at GamersGate. The later seems bigger at first but that's mainly because they list DLCs separately. But I do think there are few offers not listed on Steam, at least on a quick glance. Some of them are even DRM free (like Alpha Protocol) but then again a lot of them are also just Steam keys so bar those few exceptions it all goes down to if you'd rather see your money go to GG or Steam, as the prices also seem more or less the same.

Anyways, there's quite a few good deals. Go grab yourself Dawn of War collection(s), if nothing else. I might go for CoH 1 myself, finally.

There's also Might & MagicNordic games] and Nordic games sales that are about to end in good 20 hours. Get yourself some Red Faction: Guerrilla, ya gitz.

Wow: Bundle Stars All Stars

For 2.99 monies you get (Steam keys):
Tropico 4
Magicka
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky
Mount & Blade: With Fire And Sword
System Shock 2
Deponia
To The Moon
Prime World: Defenders

I already have most of those, but I'm thinking of picking this up just for SS2...

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky is a bit of a dud game. It is more S.T.A.L.K.E.R and that's always a good thing but it is very buggy with a rather large chance of crashing and quest scripts not working. I think I managed to get up to the Red Forest section before my saves started getting corrupted and quest scripts failing. I'm not sure whether there is any fan-made patches to fix the problems.

Clear Sky is a bad Stalker game and I think the same goes for Fire and Sword for M&B. Tropico 4 is a fine Tropico game.
