Woah, woah. Wait. What? Vangers!? Really? That game's awesome. *checks*

Holy hell, it actually is Vangers. Shit. I think I'm about to throw two fiddy at these people. To hell with the rest of the bundle, it's hard to pirate that damned game, and it's pretty bloody great. Fairly confusing, but great.

When did that hit steam and how did I not notice?

A Google search has described Vangers to me as "a mixture of various, yet consistent gameplay components." Sounds like my kind of game.

Vangers has got probably the most alien world ever conceived in a game as a backdrop to what is essentially Elite only with very unresponsive cars instead of spaceships.

A tiny boost is still pay to win in my book.  Or I suppose since its single player it would be "pay-to-not-play", which makes me think its probably not fun if you can pay to finish the game faster.   

Pay-to-win when you never pay? It was purchased with in-game currency gained by slaying monsters.

I was under the impression there was an actual for-real-money store in that game?  Unless they took it out, I vaguely remember there being some controversy when it came out.

I tend to look at metacritic to see if a game is worth buying or not (checking both critic and user reviews), but take them with a grain of salt (there were tremendous reviews for GalCiv II, but I thought it was terrible). In this case, KoPaP+1 has a critic score of 62, and a user score of 5.9, which were likely brought down by the microtransactions included in the game on release. Some of the user reviews specifically mention solely that issue.

'Analogue' and 'Hate Plus' are both good, 'Long Live the Queen' is there...

There's a VN that is "like economics class but with waifus" that looks pretty interesting, and 'Sakura Spirit' is there to buy a shitton of gift copies of for the purpose of giggls. Aside from that I don't see much I'd be interested in.

+1 to Analogue, Hate Plus, and Long Live the Queen. The sale also includes Carpe Fulgar's works (Recettear, Chantelise, and Fortune Summoners) which are all pretty good. The Ys games are nice hack-and-slash titles; I prefer Oath in Felghana and Origin over the I & II collection. Anyone have recommendations for some of the other titles?

Oh, hey, Planetarian's on Steam now; I wonder when that happened.  I suppose it's decent enough if you like Key's other works or are fond of the whole utsuge genre, though it's worth noting that it's a kinetic novel rather than the multi-pathed games like Clannad and Kanon.  World End Economica claims to be from the creator of Spice and Wolf, which could be interesting, but probably not enough for me to pick up immediately.

In sakura spirit's defense, it looks like it's not actually a full blown eroge! Unlike Nekopara, which apparently only half-assedly disabled its porn for the steam release~

I don't know, judging from the screens it looks like a deep, sorrowful game about a "sword girl" with palsy or severe arthritis that has her arm stuck behind her as a result of her condition, while her merciless "friends" mock her by hanging a sword on her as if she were an inanimate object whose sole purpose is to serve as a mute outlet for base urges and inhumane comedy.
