(Crusader Kings II stuff)

They just had CK2 @ -75% on the midweek leading up to the winter sale... they'll probably still do it again during the sale, though.
I guess the good thing about waiting for CK2's non-sale of the latest 2 DLC is that I have a really good reason to wait long enough for mods to port over and for bugs to be crushed by the time they actually do go on sale.

Ok there's something confusing about Steam+s current sale though.

That Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance deal?

It's a 48h deal. Ok.

But why the hell isn't it on the "these deals end in 48 hours" page then? Same goes for Civilization 3 complete. What am I missing here? Are there 48h deals out there you just have to find by luck? Did past Steam sales function this way? Because I don't remember...  ???

The civ 3 complete one will be because civ: beyond earth is on the daily deal. Previous games in series frequently get better deals as well if the most recent incarnation goes on daily or flash sale. This has been a common thing for the past couple of years.

Steam has been doing that for franchise titles for a while... Typically the newest title hits the front page, but most/all of the extended catalog gets an extra discount.  (not always identical %s)

During the Thanksgiving sale, Endless Legend hit the front page @ -50%... Dungeon of the Endless also became -50%, and Endless Space went -80%.

Aaaah, right, forgot about that. I remember the whole "One game goes one sale - whole franchise goes on sale" thing now, yeah. Just didn't make the connection between Civ:BE ang MGS5. Thanks.

I like how all the Steam reviews are negative.

Oh? I paid no attention to it and got the impression it was a Pirates! clone in the style of Terraria, but more pixelated.

Not all... just the ones that have floated to the top.  In absolute numbers, Pixel Piracy's good reviews (2320) outweigh the bad ones (686) by a fair margin.  A cluster of gamers with a bone to pick could certainly coordinate some astroturfing...  take it with a grain of salt.

Again on the humble store, you can grab the gotc upgrade pack for Saints Row IV which gives you all the DLC, for £1.99. Considering that most of the DLC are going for over £1 each on Steam even with a 50% off, if you are missing even two of them it's worth grabbing.

I'd like to personally say, I played Pixel Piracy and I think it's worth a dollar.

Some suggestions from me
They Bleed Pixels: $2.50 right now - Hardcore precision platform a-la super meat boy
Antichamber: $4.99 - Think Portal, but different. Definitely fun
Monaco: $3.74 - Tons of fun, even more so with friends who own it as well
XCOM Enemy Unknown + The Bureau XCOM Declassified: $16.99 (or just $14.99 for EU, but The Bureau is like $8 if you get it alone). - Definitely worth the price, I've already put over 130 hours into my copy of EU.
Blood Bowl Legendary edition: $6.79 - Also definitely worth it. I've put in over 180 hours and we have a Bay12 league that's just about done with it's season for you to join if you want.
