Speaking of Skyrim, if you're like me and never got the DLC because $20 for still-shitty vampire mechanics or shitty dragonriding didn't seem worth (much less $5 for shitty modular housebuilding when there are so many great house mods), now's the time. The legendary edition is on sale for a net total of 66% off, coming in at $13.87 for the game and all DLC (though of course Steam being Steam you don't get a giftable copy if you already own Skyrim, because fuck consumers).
AoE II HD edition is also on sale for $5, which was just enough for me to pick up. From what I've heard it's basically just a compilation of the efforts of the various community patches in one easy download combined with matchmaking via Steam. Apparently it's much, much easier to get into games than it was with the original MM system (though it'd be difficult to be worse than that steaming pile of crap), but a lot of the original issues are still there (one person lagging = everyone lagging, high unit count = stutter -- they made that one worse by upping the food limit from 200 per player to 500). Still worth it for the hit to the nostalgia IMO.
Out of curiosity, has anyone heard anything good enough about Wasteland 2 to bother buying it now for $40 on sale for the prepurchase bundle instead of waiting for the cheaper finished product to come out and eventually go on sale? I love the idea but most of the gameplay I've seen is somewhat clunky.
