Analogue: A Hate Story is on sale. As are a bunch of story-driven games. Because apparently St.Valentine liked Visual Novels? Anyway, yeah, but that one. It's good.

Steam really shouldn't count time when you're idle.  I don't like feeling self-conscious about leaving a game up while I jump to and from other things.

I wouldn't worry about it. I have several thousand hours logged on basically everything becau-ooh shiny!

Hero Siege 50% off. It's similar to Binding of Isaac in that you clear levels and collect trinkets that provide various benefits, although that's about all that's similar. Combat is far more dakka than tactical (especially in the sense of consumable items). There are, at present, four classes, each with their own combat style and skills that you invest in as you level up. Although you have only one life (baring trinkets), level and certain other investments are carried over between lives, while trinkets and temporary bonuses (purchased with gold collected) are not.

It feels like a lot of its mechanics are lifted straight from BoI, but the balance is weird. Some items are absurdly powerful, some are just useless - the skeleton key, for example, grants 99 keys, but I am literally never out of keys. There's a sai item with a short (~20 seconds?) cooldown that adds thrown sais to your default attack and it can basically kill a boss in a half second flat. There's at least one boss that's instagibbed me every time it appeared (even when I had ~5000 health, where the norm is ~500), because its been summoned in extremely cramped close quarters in a dungeon but has four huge orbiting heads that deal large damage every frame.

It could do with a "collection"/achievement thing page as in BoI. It's an okay game for 5 bucks.

Are their microtransactions?  Looks like something I might enjoy.

I'm not really sure. There's some kind of crystal that's used for dumb things: crystal chest (basically a chest but probably a higher chance of finding trinkets), resetting character slots (you have six slots but four classes presently, one "coming soon" and another blacked out named ???, not sure if that's to be unlocked or "coming later"), renaming characters, cosmetic/minor pay-to-win objects (gold, random item).

However, I started with 400 crystals and you earn crystals through achievements (maybe some or all) - not a lot, but I have ~430 now after playing for 2 hours, despite buying crystal keys every time a crystal chest appears (they cost 8 crystals).

I was ticked when I saw the crystals since they're displayed in such a way as to be very reminiscent of "micro"transactions, but I didn't see any in-game means of buying them for cash, so maybe that mechanic is limited to the mobile platform version of the game. (Or maybe it only prompts you to buy some if you try to buy a thing and don't have enough crystals.)

Well, bought witcher 2, and it is ****.

Seems like the requirements were a lie, as I am getting delays in everything I do. And it seems like I am not the only one. Had to edit some mouse settings so it was playable. Why is it I can run games like metro last light and far cry 3 just fine, but not witcher...

This probably means there's something up with the drivers or there might be an unofficial patch lying around. Also, if you have an ATI/AMD card, PhysX might be giving you shit, but that's usually just obscene amounts of lag, not action delays.
You might be able to check out the GoG forums (Yeah I figure you got it on Steam but I'm just talking about information) for The Witcher 2 to see if any of them have had issues and if there's been any solutions.

Guns of Icarus Online is 75% off for about 29 hours. I might finally get it? Maybe?? How good is it to have mic for this game?

Also, there are some interesting games in the "weeklong deals" section.

edit:
I can't think of any greater procedural death labyrinth than an airport.

Also, that's a fantastic genre name.

Hehe, I learned of it from here:  http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/LarsDoucet/20131203/206159/On_Procedural_Death_Labyrinths.php
Ooooohh, I like that.
Because seriously - Rogue-like-like?? This is just ridiculous.

If you're into murdering people as a creepy, demonic child, I would recommend Lucius. It's not the best thing ever, but it's the best (only?) of its genre.

Also, Silent Storm. If you love games, buy it.

I got this for me and some friends last night and I like it. Mics are not required but go a long way to helping you coordinate and react as a team...especially in the case of engineers and pilots communicating about ship status (your pilot firing of special abilities, which damage engine and stuff by overloading them, at a bad time without an engineer near is a very ugly thing) and most importantly for gunners coordinating with a pilot to get the best angle of attack.
